organizzano l’edizione 2024 della giornata nazionale sulla prevenzione degli incidenti legati a valanghe, scivolate e ipotermia Gli appuntamenti sono decine in località alpine e appenniniche di dodici regioni
Sensibilizzazione, informazione e prevenzione dei pericoli insiti nella frequentazione della montagna
invernale – legati soprattutto alle valanghe, alle scivolate su terreno ghiacciato e all’ipotermia – sono le
parole chiave dell’edizione 2024 della giornata nazionale “Sicuri con la neve”, che Club alpino
italiano e Corpo nazionale soccorso alpino e speleologico hanno programmato per domenica 21
gennaio. Un evento diffuso, che coinvolge decine di località alpine e appenniniche di dodici regioni, attraverso il quale il Cnsas, che quest’anno celebra il 70esimo anniversario, e il Cai intendono diffondere la
conoscenza dei comportamenti e degli accorgimenti necessari per diminuire il rischio di essere
coinvolti in incidenti, anche nei confronti di chi ha maggiore esperienza.
I volontari del Soccorso alpino e del Cai allestiranno stand e campi neve alla partenza dei principali
percorsi escursionistici e scialpinistici e sensibilizzeranno i frequentatori sull’importanza di
valutare attentamente, i giorni precedenti l’uscita, le proprie capacità, i propri limiti e
l’equipaggiamento che si intende portare con sé, senza dimenticare la consultazione dei bollettini
meteo e valanghe. La giornata prevede dimostrazioni di soccorso di travolti da valanga con l’utilizzo di ARTVa, sonda e pala, strumenti obbligatori per i frequentatori di ambienti innevati nei quali sussistano pericoli di valanghe. Saranno inoltre organizzati convegni in tema di prevenzione e autosoccorso.
Sotto la lente d’ingrandimento ci sarà la crisi climatica: le anomalie alle variazioni delle temperature
stagionali e alle precipitazioni minano infatti la stabilità del manto nevoso sui versanti e sui terreni
degli itinerari frequentati dagli appassionati, aumentando così il pericolo di valanghe e crolli.
«Proporre momenti di riflessione sulle valutazioni ambientali, sui comportamenti, sui limiti personali e
sulle capacità di rinuncia e importante perché la prevenzione rimane un fatto primario di cultura»,
afferma il responsabile di “Sicuri con la neve” Elio Guastalli. «Non e solo il rischio valanga che ci
preoccupa. Noi vogliamo alzare l’attenzione anche sulle scivolate su terreno ghiacciato e sui problemi
legati all’ipotermia, più preoccupanti in quanto si verificano più spesso rispetto agli incidenti da
valanga. Da non dimenticare infine l’aspetto psicologico: con la neve che spesso si fa attendere,
crescono negli appassionati smania e impazienza. Probabilmente anche per questo, appena nevica,
poco importa se fa caldo e il manto non e assestato, molti sentono l’obbligo di non perdere tempo,
tralasciando l’attenzione per la prevenzione». Club alpino italiano e Soccorso alpino e speleologico raccomandano l’utilizzo di GeoResQ, applicazione dedicata alle attività in montagna in grado di inviare una richiesta di aiuto quando ci si trova in pericolo e si ha bisogno di soccorso. Dallo scorso luglio l’app e totalmente gratuita, grazie ai Fondi che il Ministero del Turismo ha stanziato a favore del Cai.
La giornata “Sicuri con la neve” fa parte del progetto di Cai e Cnsas “Sicuri in montagna”.
