CITTA DI CASTELLO – stamattina sopralluogo della giunta comunale con la Soprintendenza Belle Arti e Paesaggio dell’Umbria e l’impresa aggiudicataria dell’intervento I lavori da 1 milione di euro per il restauro e la valorizzazione del tratto delle mura urbiche di Città di Castello compreso tra porta San Giacomo e il torrione nei pressi del Liceo Plinio Il Giovane inizieranno nel giro di una manciata di giorni a partire dall’ingresso allo storico quartiere cittadino in via XI Settembre.
E’ quanto hanno assicurato stamattina il direttore del cantiere Florian Castiglione, funzionario architetto della Soprintendenza Belle Arti e Paesaggio dell’Umbria, e i rappresentanti dell’impresa aggiudicataria dell’intervento, la Pelucca Samuele SRL di Pianello (PG), nell’incontro con il sindaco Luca Secondi, il vice sindaco con delega all’Urbanistica Giuseppe Stefano Bernicchi, l’assessore al Patrimonio Michela Botteghi e l’assessore ai Lavori Pubblici Riccardo Carletti. Accompagnati dalla responsabile comunale del settore Patrimonio e Manutenzioni Benedetta Rossi e dai consiglieri comunali Domenico Duranti, Massimo Minciotti e Rosanna Sabba, gli amministratori tifernati hanno approfittato del sopralluogo fissato per la consegna dei lavori per approfondire le questioni riguardanti il restauro e il consolidamento della cinta muraria. “Questo è un vero e proprio appuntamento con la storia per il percorso di recupero e la valorizzazione di un patrimonio simbolo della nostra città come le mura urbiche, nel quale l’amministrazione comunale è impegnata da oltre 20 anni e che, grazie all’intervento che sta per partire, taglierà un traguardo importantissimo, con la valorizzazione di uno dei tratti più belli e importanti che abbracciano il nostro centro storico”, commenta il sindaco Secondi, che ha offerto la massima disponibilità dell’ente, per quanto di competenza, a collaborare con la Soprintendenza Belle Arti e Paesaggio dell’Umbria nell’attuazione dell’intervento. I lavori inizieranno con il taglio delle essenze arboree e arbustive presenti sulla superficie muraria, a proseguiranno con le operazioni di disinfestazione e pulizia delle superfici murarie per la rimozione di efflorescenze, di parti friabili o sabbiose. Nell’ambito del cantiere saranno effettuate tutte le opere di consolidamento e ripristino della pietra, con la risagomatura e impermeabilizzazione delle sommità murarie, dove sarà allestita una nuova recinzione. L’intervento si concluderà con la realizzazione di un impianto di illuminazione artificiale, studiato appositamente per valorizzazione della cinta muraria.
