AREZZO – Il sindaco Alessandro Ghinelli dà il via al gruppo di lavoro che redigerà il piano di azione finalizzato a perseguire concretamente gli obiettivi del Green City Accord Tutto è cominciato con la firma del sindaco Alessandro Ghinelli al Green City Accord, l’iniziativa promossa dalla Commissione Europea con l’obiettivo di rendere le città europee più sane, più pulite, più verdi, protagoniste sui temi ambientali e della qualità della vita, un atto che peraltro faceva seguito a una delibera approvata dal Consiglio Comunale all’unanimità

L’amministrazione comunale ha dimostrato così di credere fortemente nella sostenibilità ambientale in tutte le sue declinazioni, corrispondenti ai 5 ambiti in cui l’accordo è ripartito: qualità dell’aria, abbattimento dell’inquinamento acustico in ambito urbano, natura e biodiversità urbana, economia circolare, acqua intesa sia come qualità della risorsa che come bene da tutelare e sfruttare adeguatamente. Arezzo è stata la prima città capoluogo di provincia in Toscana a proiettarsi in questa dimensione sovranazionale con orizzonte 2030, seconda in Italia dopo Cesena. Nel frattempo le città europee aderenti sono diventate 110 tra cui 10 italiane. Adesso il sindaco Ghinelli ha adesso tenuto a battesimo la nascita del gruppo di lavoro che, rispetto ai cinque ambiti suddetti, elaborerà un piano di azione che traccerà la strada su come renderli in concreto. Nell’elaborazione di questo piano, il Comune di Arezzo non è solo ma in buona compagnia: grazie infatti allo specifico progetto europeo “GreenMe5” finanziato dal programma LIFE dell’Unione Europea, Arezzo condividerà un percorso con altre 4 città: la lituana Vinius, la svedese Helsingborg, le spagnole Murcia e Cieza. Gli scambi di dati tra le stesse saranno utili per capire come procedere e migliorare le performance. Inoltre, in ciascuna, saranno gli stakeholder dei rispettivi territori a elaborare obiettivi e strumenti per governare i processi in maniera efficace. Il gruppo di lavoro ad Arezzo coinvolge sia la struttura comunale che attori di vario genere la cui mission incrocia i 5 ambiti del Green City Accord, dagli enti istituzionali alle aziende che gestiscono i servizi, alle associazioni. Assieme redigeranno il piano di azione senza essere tuttavia le sole protagoniste. Infatti, questo nucleo si avvarrà dei contributi dei cittadini, singoli o associati, persone fisiche e persone giuridiche, che avranno modo di avanzare loro proposte grazie a un percorso partecipativo che partirà a marzo e terminerà a giugno. Ogni idea e arricchimento permetterà di arrivare alla sintesi definitiva che si tradurrà all’interno del piano di azione, che proprio perché redatto da soggetti che operano “sul campo” si configurerà per i suoi contenuti realizzabili.
