AREZZO – La Liberazione è stata la premessa alla carta costitutiva della Repubblica fondata sul lavoro e sul ripudio della guerra. Fu grazie al sacrifico di quelle donne e quegli uomini, giovani e adulti, che si unirono nella Resistenza mettendo in gioco tutto ciò che avevano, compresa la propria vita, che si riuscì a scacciare l’esercito nazista dall’Italia ed a sconfiggere il fascismo. Non possiamo e non vogliamo far cadere il testimone di chi ci ha consegnato la Libertà e l’ideale di vivere in un mondo senza più guerre.
Il nostro impegno per la pace, per il disarmo e per la nonviolenza è lo stesso impegno per l’antifascismo e per la difesa della Costituzione. La Rete Aretina Pace e Disarmo ha portato con uno striscione il messaggio forte e chiaro dell’art.11 “L’Italia ripudia la guerra” in tre luoghi di questo 25 aprile 2024: a Badia al Pino per salutare l’arrivo del Presidente Mattarella, a Villa Severi nella festa organizzata dalle associazioni aretine, in Piazza Poggio del Sole nella cerimonia con le autorità cittadine e l’ANPI presso il monumento alla Resistenza.
