CITTA DI CASTELLO – Si svolgerà mercoledì 1 maggio una della gare più attese al Circolo Golf Caldese. La 23^ sfida del Trofeo Ponti, 18 buche Stableford, è alle porte e la gara prenderà il via alle ore 8,45 con due categorie.
Una delle competizioni più antiche, nei 25 anni di attività del Circolo, con i migliori golfisti, che poi sono diventati significativi nel centro Italia, sono passati da questa sfida che il patron Giuseppe Ponti, titolare della Cmc, ha proposto ai numerosi appassionati della Valtiberina Toscana, dell’Alto Tevere Umbro, ma con la partecipazione che ha visto anche di concorrenti di Arezzo, Perugia e dell’entroterra marchigiano. Attualmente la classifica del Trofeo “Formula Uno Caldese” (che ha avuto origini nel 1999), dopo due gare interne, vede in testa il tifernate Silvano Bucci con 22 punti davanti ad un altro golfista di Città di Castello, Giuseppe Grilli, vincitore della passata edizione, con 20 punti, al terzo posto nella classifica il primo biturgense, Fabrizio Ricciarelli a quota 15 e nuovo Presidente della Società golfistica appena nata.
