SANSEPOLCRO – Dal 4 maggio le opere di Satsuki Hatsushima e Monica Dengo riempiranno le sale dello spazio culturale di Sansepolcro. In programma anche due workshop aperti al pubblico il 12 e 26 maggio prossimi. Continua il percorso internazionale a CasermArcheologica, che si prepara ad accogliere un atteso evento che porterà nelle sue sale l’antica tradizione giapponese dello shodō, unita all’innovativa visione artistica di due maestre della calligrafia: Satsuki Hatsushima e Monica Dengo

La mostra dal titolo “THE HEART WE SHARE”, che prende ispirazione da uno tra i più noti sutra della cultura Buddista, il Sutra del Cuore, prenderà il via il prossimo 4 maggio nelle sale senza tempo dell’ex caserma di Sansepolcro e sarà un viaggio immersivo nell’arte e nella cultura orientali. Lo shodō, traducibile come “via della scrittura”, rappresenta molto più di una semplice tecnica di calligrafia. Derivata dalla shūfǎ cinese, questa pratica è profondamente legata alla cultura, alla spiritualità e alla filosofia giapponesi. In Cina e Giappone è considerata da millenni una delle arti maggiori, al pari della pittura e del disegno. Attraverso la mostra di Satsuki Hatsushima e Monica Dengo i visitatori avranno l’opportunità di esplorare questa connessione tra corpo, mente e arte, e di scoprire il potere trasformativo della calligrafia. Avranno anche l’opportunità di conoscere il valore che la carta ha in Giappone e alcune delle tecniche tradizionali di produzione. Le opere espositive fungono da finestra su un mondo di bellezza e contemplazione. Attraverso la loro maestria nel maneggiare il pennello e l’inchiostro, queste due artiste trasmettono l’essenza e lo spirito del fare segni. I visitatori avranno l’opportunità di ammirare le loro opere ma anche di partecipare attivamente alla creazione artistica attraverso workshop sulla pratica di scrittura. In programma, infatti, ci sono anche una serie di corsi immersivi, il primo dei quali, già sold out, porterà a Caserma un gruppo di partecipanti arrivati da varie parti del mondo per studiare e sperimentare direttamente l’antica arte dello shodō con Satsuki Hatsushima e le interpretazioni astratte contemporanee con Monica Dengo, creando interamente a mano libri con carte tradizionali giapponesi ed europee.

Il 12 e 26 maggio gli ultimi due workshop aperti al pubblico, per un numero massimo di 5 persone ciascuno. Non è richiesta alcuna esperienza o conoscenza della calligrafia e dello shodō. Il costo è di 35,00 euro a persona e include il kit di materiali tradizionali: pennello, inchiostro e carta, che sarà poi lasciato ai partecipanti. In un mondo sempre più frenetico, l’arte dello shodō rappresenta un’oasi di calma e contemplazione. Attraverso la mostra di Satsuki Hatsushima e Monica Dengo a CasermArcheologica, i visitatori avranno l’opportunità di immergersi completamente in questa esperienza unica, scoprendo la bellezza e la profondità di un’antica tradizione che continua a ispirare e trasformare.

Biografie SATSUKI HATSUSHIMA Vive e lavora nell’isola giapponese di Kyushu. Nel 2002 ha fondato l’associazione Studio Ponte nel suo studio di Fukuoka. Lo Studio Ponte vuole essere un ponte tra la calligrafia orientale e quella occidentale. Qui insegna calligrafia occidentale storica e moderna e organizza workshop internazionali.

MONICA DENGO Vive e lavora in Italia. È un’artista e insegnante che lavora con la scrittura a mano, il lettering e la calligrafia. Ha insegnato in Giappone, Germania, Belgio, Italia, Svizzera, Francia, Canada, Russia e Stati Uniti. Attualmente insegna all’ISIA di Urbino, per la Fondazione Musei Civici Veneziani e in un corso triennale di calligrafia storica a Venezia per il CIAC – Centro Internazionale Arti Calligrafiche.
