CITTA’ DI CASTELLO – Lunedì 6 maggio dalle ore 9,30 verrà presentato presso la biblioteca “Carducci” il libro C’è un albero in Giappone, di Chiara Bazzoli, edizioni Sonda. L’iniziativa rientra nel calendario per il Maggio dei libri ed è riservata agli studenti della scuola primaria e della secondaria di primo grado ( in pratica 3 e 4 elementare e prima e seconda media) e, per ragioni di spazio, limitata alle classi che prenotandosi hanno risposto alla proposta fatta dalla biblioteca alla fine di marzo.
La presentazione verrà fatta direttamente dall’autrice, che incontrerà gli studenti e farà alcune letture tratte dal suo libro, cercando di sollecitare riflessioni sui temi collegati alla pace: il libro racconta infatti la storia – vera – di un albero di cachi sopravvissuto alla bomba atomica sganciata su Nagasaki alla fine della seconda guerra mondiale e simbolo di rinascita e di speranza. Al libro è collegato un progetto internazionale, “Revive time – Kaki tree project”, attivo dagli anni ’90 e che prevede la distribuzione in tutto il mondo dei semi derivanti dal caco sopravvissuto alla bomba atomica (anche una scuola di Montone ha in giardino un caco che proviene dall’albero giapponese). “La storia rappresenta un’occasione importante di riflessione su temi che sono tornati di preoccupante attualità”, precisa Patrizia Montani, responsabile della Biblioteca “Carducci”.
