L’Italia resta la meta preferita. Didatour, la piattaforma online del Gruppo La Fabbrica dedicata al mondo della scuola, rivela i risultati di un’indagine sul turismo scolastico MA ANCHE CAMBIAMENTO NELLE PREFERENZE DELLE DESTINAZIONI A CAUSA DEL CLIMAQuasi il 100% dei docenti intervistati ha organizzato almeno un’uscita didattica nell’anno scolastico in corso, a conferma del valore educativo e sociale delle gite scolastiche.
Il turismo scolastico è tornato a livelli pre-pandemici, addirittura superando il 2019. L’indagine “Turismo scolastico, strumenti e prodotti di supporto alla didattica: dati e tendenze degli istituti scolastici italiani” 2023/2024, condotta da Didatour (www.didatour.it), ha coinvolto insegnanti di ogni ordine e grado in tutta Italia, rivelando un aumento significativo delle uscite didattiche e dei viaggi d’istruzione. Rispetto allo scorso anno scolastico, aumentano le mete artistiche e culturali, che vengono scelte dal 49% delle scuole primarie, dal 77% delle secondarie di primo grado e dal 59% delle secondarie di secondo grado. In calo le esperienze naturalistiche a causa delle condizioni meteorologiche imprevedibili.
Anni scolastici a confronto: I risultati dell’indagine
Anche nell’anno scolastico 2023/2024, per le gite di più giorni, docenti e studenti preferiscono l’Italia (43% contro l’11% delle mete estere). Le città più visitate sono Firenze, Napoli e Roma seguite da Trieste, Venezia, Milano, Perugia e Torino. Le scuole secondarie di secondo grado optano per viaggi di più giorni (85%) come anche le secondarie di primo grado (75%); rimane positivo il trend delle uscite lunghe anche per le primarie (25%), tenendo conto che il dato pre-pandemico era decisamente molto basso (8%). Benché nel 14% delle uscite vengano scelti i musei più conosciuti, il 25% dei docenti ha scelto mete meno classiche per proporre ai propri studenti esperienze diverse e attinenti al programma didattico. Per i viaggi di più giorni i requisiti più importanti per i docenti sono: l’accessibilità dei luoghi, le proposte di attività per studenti BES (con Bisogni Educativi Speciali), la possibilità di svolgere attività in lingua inglese e l’utilizzo di strumenti digitali durante l’esperienza. I viaggi con un pernottamento di due giorni risultano in aumento per le secondarie di primo grado (dal 37% dell’anno scolastico precedente al 55% di quello appena concluso) così come i soggiorni studio, che passano da una percentuale dello 0% al 5%, sia per le scuole secondarie di primo che di secondo grado. La maggioranza degli studenti (69%) spende intorno ai 300 euro per soggiorni di due giorni in su. Mentre per le uscite in giornata i costi sono contenuti (fino a 20 euro per studente nel 25% dei casi e più di 20 euro nel 48%). Incrociando i dati di spesa con quelli relativi al pernottamento (numero di notti), alla tipologia di struttura ricettiva e al mezzo di trasporto scelto, emerge che i dati relativi alle spese oltre i 300 euro sono coerenti e sostanzialmente proporzionali alla durata del viaggio. I pernottamenti di una notte vengono preferiti principalmente dalle scuole primarie, quelli di due notti sia dalle primarie sia dalle secondarie di primo grado, quelli di tre e quattro notti vedono una maggiore presenza di alunni delle secondarie di secondo grado. Per quanto riguarda le strutture, la maggior parte dei docenti ha optato per hotel a 3 stelle, ma si evidenzia una sempre maggiore attenzione verso tipologie di alloggio come ospitalità religiosa e villaggi, che dispongono di spazi adeguati per il tempo libero degli studenti. Il 57% degli intervistati si è rivolto alle agenzie di viaggi per l’organizzazione completa della gita. La tendenza a rivolgersi alle agenzie si riscontra più frequentemente per le scuole secondarie di primo grado (64%) e secondarie di secondo grado (63%) rispetto alle scuole primarie (42%). Non sono incoraggianti, invece, i dati sul “bonus gite scolastiche”: secondo l’indagine condotta da Didatour l’aiuto economico fino a 150 euro destinato alle famiglie con figli che frequentano scuole statali secondarie di secondo grado con ISEE basso è stato richiesto soltanto dal 12% degli studenti. Il processo di destagionalizzazione è ancora lento: per quanto riguarda il periodo degli spostamenti dei viaggi di più giorni, i mesi preferiti continuano a essere quelli primaverili (marzo e aprile al 27% e maggio al 35%). Questa tendenza potrebbe essere messa in discussione per i prossimi anni, sempre per le conseguenze del cambiamento climatico che rendono il meteo imprevedibile, e anche dei costi maggiori che si registrano in un periodo considerato di “alta stagione” per le città d’arte. “Siamo entusiasti di constatare non solo la straordinaria ripresa del turismo scolastico, che ha superato i livelli pre-pandemici, ma anche un’importante evoluzione nel settore” – commenta Valentina Marasco, Country Manager di Bandusia. “Questo dimostra quanto il settore sia dinamico e attento alle nuove esigenze. Negli ultimi anni, abbiamo anche osservato un cambiamento nelle scelte tradizionali legate all’alloggio, al trasporto e alle destinazioni, aprendo nuove opportunità a operatori che in precedenza erano esclusi dal mercato. Le gite scolastiche rimangono un pilastro fondamentale per l’apprendimento esperienziale, la socializzazione e la crescita personale degli studenti. Attraverso Didatour, affianchiamo gli operatori turistici e le destinazioni, affinché i docenti possano trovare risorse, strumenti e ispirazione per organizzare viaggi d’istruzione indimenticabili”. “In un Paese a vocazione turistica come l’Italia, dove il settore contribuisce in modo significativo al PIL, le gite scolastiche non rappresentano solo un’opportunità di apprendimento, ma anche un volano per l’economia e la valorizzazione del territorio – aggiunge Angela Mencarelli, Amministratrice Delegata La Fabbrica, l’agenzia di comunicazione educativa associata UNA che, tra gli altri, include il brand Didatour. “Le scuole, infatti, sono in grado di portare i giovani alla scoperta di destinazioni meno conosciute dal turismo di massa, contribuendo a diversificare l’offerta turistica e a creare nuove opportunità di sviluppo per le comunità locali. Inoltre, le richieste sempre più evolute delle scuole, come l’attenzione all’accessibilità per i disabili, alle esigenze degli studenti BES (con Bisogni Educativi Speciali) e l’integrazione di esperienze in lingua inglese o con le tecnologie, spingono il settore turistico verso un miglioramento continuo e una maggiore inclusività”.
