Le attività sono iniziate il 24 luglio scorso per i pazienti affetti da fibrillazione atriale
Partita l’attività di DH Cardiologico dell’Ospedale La Fratta di Cortona. La struttura ha l’obiettivo di trattare i pazienti affetti da fibrillazione atriale che devono essere sottoposti a cardioversione elettrica programmata. La Cardiologia della Fratta da sempre si occupa di trattamenti antiaritmici, che fino a poco tempo fa venivano effettuati in PS e che oggi invece trovano una collocazione specifica.
“Grazie all’apertura del Day Hospital Cardiologico – spiega Simona D’Orazio, Direttrice UOSD Cardiologia di Cortona – pazienti che necessitano di trattamenti speciali hanno un’area dedicata e quindi sarà ancora più confortevole, per loro e i loro familiari che li accompagnano”.
L’attività di DH Cardiologico vede il coinvolgimento degli infermieri che già operavano nel reparto di DH-Day Surgery e degli anestesisti, che intervengono per la sedazione blanda che la procedura richiede.
“Dal nostro punto di vista – rimarca la dottoressa D’Orazio – l’attività di DH è certamente più impegnativa rispetto alle procedure effettuate in PS, come avveniva precedentemente. Adesso è prevista l’apertura di una cartella clinica e la stesura di una lettera di dimissione, ma certamente un setting di questo tipo è più adeguato alla natura programmata delle attività e più confortevole per gli utenti, che, è bene sottolinearlo, saranno ricoverati in una stanza singola dedicata con la possibilità di essere assistiti da un familiare”.
L’attività di ricovero del DH Cardiologico è iniziata il 24 luglio scorso e ad oggi sono già state eseguite 3 procedure di cardioversioni elettriche.
