La “grandeur” francese è servita, e anche tanto. Al netto di alcuni aspetti antipatici e odiosi che innegabilmente sono ovunque (ognuno valuti i propri), le Olimpiadi di Parigi sono state un di più della grande festa mondiale dello sport… ché già di per sé, quando ci si continua a scannare in tanti posti, non è poco ricordando come siamo tutti uguali e abbiamo tante cose da dirci e scambiarci con curiosità.
Le Olimpiadi di Parigi hanno riportato la grande festa universalista al centro della vita di tutti i giorni. L’organizzazione di gran parte delle gare nel centro di quella città, ci ha fatto vivere lo sport universale come parte del nostro quotidiano. Mentre siamo al bar o a fare compere o a passeggiare, ecco che ci giriamo e accanto ci passano atleti della Corea del nord, per esempio, che mai avremmo avuto occasione di incontrare. E così per la nostra vita di tutti i giorni, in una Parigi confermata come luogo di proposta e accoglienza per tutte le individualità, di etnia o di scelta di genere. Proposta e accoglienza vituperata da divisori e odiatori secolarmente o modernamente esperti. Lì a Parigi c’eravamo tutti e ci dicevamo che insieme stavamo veramente bene. Con un tocco di eccellenza che, protagonisti nell’arena come nei caffè a discutere, erano i giovani e il loro stile e amore di vivere. Tutto questo con un tocco di professionalità, visto che il business complessivo è andato molto oltre il pareggio.
Le Olimpiadi di Parigi sono state anche una scommessa per il futuro.
