“La canoa è per tutti” evento organizzato dal Rotary Club Città di Castello

Mercoledì 11 settembre 2024 alle ore 14.30 presso la sede del Canoa Club Città di Castello, si è tenuto l’evento “La canoa è per tutti” organizzato dal Rotary Club Città di Castello presieduto da Andrea Gherardi.L’obiettivo dell’evento è quello di far vivere a persone diversamente abili una giornata di sport, in tutta sicurezza.L’iniziativa portata avanti da anni con successo, vede la partecipazione di numerosi giovani ed adulti disabili che hanno voluto provare l’ebbrezza di scendere lungo il fiume Tevere a bordo di un’imbarcazione, offrendo l’opportunità di condividere un’esperienza ritenuta difficile e sino a qualche anno fa addirittura impossibile.

Il Rotary Club Città di Castello è sempre attivamente partecipe ad iniziative in sostegno di persone meno fortunate ed ha insito nel suo spirito il servire e la concreta realizzazione di quanto necessario al fine di abbattere le barriere e permettere l’integrazione sociale e sportiva a persone disabili. L’iniziativa, organizzata in collaborazione con il Canoa Club di Città di Castello, la cooperativa La Rondine,l’Inner Wheel di Città di Castello e il Rotary Club di Sansepolcro si è svolta alla presenza di istituzioni civili, militari e religiose ed è stata una giornata di festa che i ha permesso di riflettere sull’importanza dell’attività sportiva quale strumento di inclusione.Altrettanto importante è stata la messa in acqua del Dragon Lady da parte delle Farfalle Rosa dell’associazione Altro Tevere contro il Cancro.La giornata è proseguita , dalle ore 20.00, con una conviviale presso la sede del Canoa Club di Città di Castello.
