Il vescovo diocesano mons. Andrea Migliavacca ha indetto una giornata di preghiera e digiuno per la pace il prossimo lunedì 7 ottobre, in contemporanea alla Chiesa che è in Gerusalemme, dove il cardinale Pierbattista Pizzaballa ha chiesto una giornata di preghiera e digiuno

“È importante e necessaria la preghiera di fronte all’insensatezza e violenza della guerra” spiega mons. Migliavacca, che ha chiesto che ogni Messa, il 7 ottobre prossimo, in tutte le parrocchie della diocesi di Arezzo-Cortona-Sansepolcro, venga celebrata con l’intenzione “per la pace e la giustizia”, affinché si fermino le ostilità in tutto il mondo, con un pensiero per l’Ucraina e in particolare per tutto il Medio Oriente. Ogni parrocchia inoltre, è libera di promuovere ulteriori momenti di preghiera e riflessione, come per esempio il Rosario per la pace, secondo le proprie possibilità. Tutti i fedeli sono invitati dunque a partecipare all’iniziativa del 7 ottobre nella propria parrocchia, un’occasione per pregare anche per il viaggio che i vescovi toscani, insieme anche ad alcuni giovani, faranno – a Dio piacendo – in Terra Santa dal 14 al 17 ottobre come segno di vicinanza ai cristiani che vivono nella terra di Gesù e come appello per la pace.
