Un campionato Italiano dei 10 Km su strada che assegna i tioli nazionali e valido anche per il C.d.S. di società giunto alla 14^ edizione con iscrizioni ancora aperte sino alle 12 di sabato ha già raggiunto quota 768 iscritti fatto salvo già qualche defezione e purtroppo di notevole rilievo. Un campionato che ebbe inizio nel 2010 con sede a Pordenone poi ha toccato varie sedi e città , le ultime dopo la pausa per la pandemia del 2020 sono ripartite nel 2021 a Forli, nel 2022 a Castelfranco Veneto e lo scorso anno 2023 in quel di Pescara. Questa di Arezzo è la seconda volta in terra toscana dopo l’edizione n° 2 di Lucca, ma la città di Arezzo non è nuova a Campionati italiani, avendo organizzato quelli di Maratonina, i Campionati Master su pista. Per questa edizione percorso omologato dalla Fidal collaudato a fine maggio scorso nell’ambito della Scalata Al Castello con la prova dei Master. Sotto l’aspetto tecnico ci si attende un bel duello in campo maschile come anticipato purtroppo mancherà per malattia di Pietro Riva campione uscente, quindi sulla carta se la giocano un pimpante Yohanes Chiappinelli (Carabinieri) già secondo nel 2022 a Castelfranco Veneto reduce da una super prestazione nella mezza di Udine, poi Iliass Aouani (F.Azzurre-Casone Noceto) Luca Alfieri (Casone Noceto) Badr Jaafari (Casone Noceto) Alberto Mondazzi (Casone Noceto), mentre un altro dei possibili favoriti Pasquale Selvarolo sembra pure lui inforse per i soliti malannni di stagione. Non mancheranno atleti stranieri fuori classifica ma impegnati per portare punti alle loro società di appartenenza e sicuramente in grado di essere tra i protagonisti, magari uno stimolo maggiore per i nostri azzurri quali Egide Ntakarutimana, Yves Nibumona, Dickson Nyakundi, Joseph Kimeli, Bernard Wambua, tutti atleti con personali sotto i 29’ minuti nei 10 km su strada e anche nei 10.000 metri in pista. In campo femminile i pronostici sono tutti per Sara Nestola, Federica Sugamiele, Valentina Gemetto, Aurora Bado campionessa uscente della categoria Promesse Valeria Roffino, Michela Cesarò, Michela Moretton e ultima aggiunta di queste ore Elisa Palmero che si candida sicuramente tra le favorite dopo l’ottimo 31’38”45 ai Campionati Europei di Roma nei 10.000 mt.
