SANSEPOLCRO – Studi sulla ricomposizione del Trittico di Val d’Afra” Nel giorno dell’anniversario della Morte di Piero della Francesca, il Comune di Sansepolcro e la Direzione del Museo Civico, in collaborazione con la Fondazione Piero della Francesca, sono orgogliosi di presentare al pubblico un evento di grande importanza storico-artistica. Sabato 12 ottobre 2024, alle ore 17:30, presso il Museo “Piero della Francesca” in via N. Aggiunti n. 65, si terrà la presentazione del volume “Matteo di Giovanni e Piero della Francesca.
Studi sulla ricomposizione del Trittico di Val d’Afra”, a cura della storica dell’arte Cecilia Frosinini. Il volume esplora i dettagli della recente ricomposizione del “Trittico di Val d’Afra”, un’opera fondamentale del patrimonio culturale toscano grande orgoglio cittadini, tant’è che la Pala centrale dell’opera, è la il Battesimo di Cristo oggi conservato alla National Gallery di Londra. La ricomposizione, frutto di un complesso lavoro di studio e restauro, ha riportato alla luce l’unità e il significato originario di questo capolavoro artistico. Durante l’evento, Cecilia Frosinini, curatrice del volume e riconosciuta esperta di arte rinascimentale, che ha seguito le delicate fasi del restauro, offrirà una panoramica dettagliata delle ricerche svolte. Un’occasione imperdibile per appassionati d’arte, studiosi, e per tutti coloro che desiderano approfondire la conoscenza del patrimonio culturale cittadino legato a Piero della Francesca, uno dei massimi esponenti del Rinascimento italiano, il cui genio continua a influenzare e ispirare l’arte e la cultura contemporanea.
