Spettacolo di e con Elena Bucci nell’ambito delle celebrazioni per il centesimo anniversario della scomparsa di Eleonora Duse Il Centro di ricerca La Soffitta e il Dipartimento delle Arti dell’Università di Bologna, in collaborazione con la Fondazione Giorgio Cini e sotto l’egida dell’UNESCO, celebrano il centesimo anniversario della scomparsa d Eleonora Duse – morta a Pittsburgh il 21 aprile 1924 – con due appuntamenti:
Rivoluzione Duse. Inno agli stregati spettacolo di e con Elena Bucci (15 ottobre) e Le sue rose che considero baci lettura scenica di e con Sonia Bergamasco (25 novembre). Martedì 15 ottobre, alle ore 21:00, il Teatro del DAMSLab ospiterà lo spettacolo prodotto dalla compagnia Le belle bandiere, Rivoluzione Duse. Inno agli stregati, che inaugura il programma di eventi autunnali de La Soffitta 2022-2024 – Anniversari. “Eleonora traspare e appare da ogni lettera, da ogni documento, ci sorride attraverso il tempo e ci esorta alla rivoluzione, che altro non è che lotta al pregiudizio e ricerca della verità, pur sapendo che appena intravista fugge altrove. Come Eleonora stessa fa, con la sua luminosa scia.” Così l’autrice, regista e interprete Elena Bucci racconta lo spettacolo, nato da un lavoro di scavo tra lettere e testimonianze nell’Archivio Duse conservato alla Fondazione Giorgio Cini. “Quando abbandonai la compagnia del mio maestro Leo de Berardinis per cercare la mia strada mi chiusi in un palazzo abbandonato sperduto tra le campagne e con alcuni amici creai uno spettacolo che ancora mi accompagna ‘Non sentire il male’ – dedicato a Eleonora Duse. Accanto a lei, potente maestra fantasma, attraversai il teatro del passato per capire dove andare: i suoi scritti, le foto, i racconti dei testimoni mi restituivano la figura di un’artista coraggiosa, autentica nell’arte e nella vita. Mi ha infuso un coraggio che ancora vive in me. Lo spettacolo ha viaggiato in teatri prestigiosi, spazi indipendenti, ville e luoghi d’arte. Ho scoperto che Eleonora parla a tutti ed è la regina degli ‘stregati’, di coloro che ascoltano e coltivano la loro vocazione. Ora che il conformismo e la paura si risvegliano, nei loro sgargianti travestimenti, torno ad incontrare la ‘rivoluzione’ Duse, il suo umorismo, la sua forza, la sua libertà. A questo punto del mio cammino, ridere e piangere possono essere la stessa cosa. Cerco strade nuove dove Eleonora mi accompagnerà”.
Con Rivoluzione Duse. Inno agli stregati Bucci si misura con la Divina, facendola parlare a nome di tutti “gli stregati” dal teatro e da altre passioni, che hanno dedicato la vita alla loro vocazione, ad un progetto, ad un ideale. Bucci viaggia nel passato per incontrare in tutta la sua dirompente forza, attraverso lettere e documenti, una Eleonora Duse che esorta alla rivoluzione, alla lotta al pregiudizio e alla ricerca di una verità, che appena intravista fugge altrove. Elena Bucci si forma nella compagnia di Leo de Berardinis dove resta 14 anni, fonda e guida con Marco Sgrosso la compagnia Le belle bandiere. Dirige e interpreta testi classici e contemporanei, scrive drammaturgie originali spesso in musica, crea progetti e spettacoli dove dialogano artisti di diverse discipline e vengono restituiti al pubblico spazi della memoria, luoghi d’arte e teatri. Fra i riconoscimenti: Premio Ubu per le interpretazioni di sue drammaturgie e regie, Premio Ubu per il lavoro con Claudio Morganti, Premio Duse, Premio Hystrio – ANCT Associazione Nazionale Critici Teatrali, Premio Hystrio Altre Muse, Premio Eti Gli Olimpici del Teatro ora Le Maschere del Teatro, Premio Viviani, Premio Scenari Pagani, Premio ERF alla carriera.
