I trattamenti intensivi di Gruppo Antitabagici si basano su un approccio cognitivo- comportamentale al quale, a seconda delle esigenze, è possibile associare anche il trattamento farmacologico. «Tale associazione mostra di essere l’intervento più efficace – dichiara la dr.ssa Daniela Capacci, educatore professionale SerD -. Ogni anno valutiamo i trattamenti di gruppo e i risultati sono in linea con quanto descritto anche nella letteratura internazionale. Circa il 60% di coloro che concludono il trattamento smette di fumare e più del 30% non ha avuto ricadute dopo un anno».
«Per quanto riguarda Arezzo trattiamo più di 100 persone all’anno – prosegue – e collaboriamo stabilmente da molti anni con l’Unità Operativa di Pneumologia dell’Ospedale di Arezzo e con il Consultorio Familiare per quanto riguarda i casi difficili e per gli interventi di sensibilizzazione sui giovani e sulle donne in gravidanza». La durata del trattamento di gruppo (con gruppi di 20 persone) è di circa 2 mesi con incontri settimanali il giovedì (orario 17,30-18,45) che si terranno nella sede del SerD di Arezzo di via Fonte Veneziana 17. Prima dell’inizio del corso è previsto un primo colloquio conoscitivo e valutativo con la dr.ssa Daniela Capacci che condurrà il gruppo, a cui ne seguirà uno con il medico dr. Daniele Pieralli per una valutazione medica generale e l’eventuale prescrizione farmacologica come sostegno al percorso.
