Ieri mattina il Palio della Vittoria 2024 è stato ufficialmente consegnato alla città di Gubbio che aveva trionfato nella competizione corsa come ogni 29 giugno a memoria eterna della Battaglia di Anghiari del 1440, scontro che ridisegnò i confini della Toscana e che fu reso celebre da Leonardo Da Vinci
Il secondo successo consecutivo per la città eugubina è maturato grazie ad Antonio Rossi, bravo nell’affrontare le difficoltà della “corsa a piedi più pazza del mondo”, nel dosare lo sforzo in salita sul tratto più duro della Ruga di San Martino e nel dar vita ad un superlativo sprint finale! La cerimonia di consegna è iniziata con la sfilata del Corteo Storico del Palio della Vittoria per le strade della città, è proseguita con il suggestivo spettacolo di benvenuto a cura degli Sbandieratori di Gubbio e ha vissuto l’atto ufficiale nella Sala del Consiglio del Palazzo Comunale, alla presenza delle istituzioni e della squadra vincitrice compreso ovviamente Antonio Rossi che non ha nascosto la sua gioia nel rivedere le immagini della gara. “È stato un successo bellissimo che mi ha regalato grandi emozioni. Sono molto contento anche perché per noi è secondo successo di fila. Ringrazio la squadra e chi mi ha dato la possibilità di partecipare al Palio della Vittoria”.Lo splendido Palio della Vittoria 2024, realizzato dall’Associazione Il Tombolo di Anghiari, è stato consegnato dopo i saluti istituzionali, dal sindaco di Anghiari e presidente della Provincia di Arezzo Alessandro Polcri e dal presidente dell’Associazione Culturale Palio della Vittoria Valter Capacci al sindaco di Gubbio Vittorio Fiorucci. “È stata una splendida giornata – ha ammesso il sindaco di Anghiari Alessandro Polcri – e voglio ringraziare innanzitutto il Comune di Gubbio per la splendida accoglienza, compreso lo spettacolo degli Sbandieratori. Il Palio della Vittoria è l’occasione per rinsaldare l’amicizia con altre realtà e oggi ne abbiamo avuto, ancora una volta, conferma. La manifestazione continua il suo processo di crescita e il merito è di tutte quelle persone che durante l’anno ci mettono passione e impegno”.Soddisfazione è stata espressa anche dal presidente Valter Capacci. “Grazie a Gubbio che ci onora da anni con la sua partecipazione e che per la seconda volta ha centrato il successo. Oggi abbiamo avuto una fantastica accoglienza, aspetto che testimonia come il Palio della Vittoria sia ormai una manifestazione prestigiosa ed ambita anche da città importanti, proprio come Gubbio. Per noi è un motivo d’orgoglio e uno stimolo in vista della prossima edizione. Grazie a tutto il gruppo”. Grande soddisfazione anche per il Comune di Gubbio, al termine di una mattinata intensa e ricca di significati. Con il Palio della Vittoria l’appuntamento è già fissato per il 29 giugno 2025, giorno in cui verrà rievocata la Battaglia di Anghiari e in cui la “corsa a piedi più pazza del mondo” vivrà il ventunesimo atto dell’era moderna. La sfida è già lanciata e Gubbio cercherà di difendere il titolo!

After I initially commented I seem to have clicked on the -Notify me when new comments are added- checkbox and now whenever a comment is added I receive four emails with the same comment. There has to be an easy method you can remove me from that service? Cheers!
