Il 2 gennaio 2025, in prima serata su Rai 3 (ore 21.20), andrà in onda il docufilm “Sulle orme del K2”, realizzato da Rai con Rai Documentari. A circa sei mesi di distanza, tutto è pronto per tornare simbolicamente tra le cime della seconda vetta più alta del mondo.
che racconta la spedizione femminile italiana e pakistana sul K2 dell’estate scorsa. La spedizione è stata promossa dal Club alpino italiano, con il patrocinio del Ministero del Turismo e dal Ministero degli Esteri.
Il documentario, nato da un’idea di Massimiliano Ossini e Gian Luca Gasca, farà vivere agli spettatori, attraverso immagini inedite e interviste esclusive, le emozioni delle protagoniste di questa avventura: nove donne – quattro alpiniste italiane (Anna Torretta, Federica Mingolla, Silvia Loreggian e Cristina
Piolini), quattro pakistane (Samina Baig, Amina Bano, Nadeema Sahar e Samana Rahim) e un medico (Lorenza Pratali) – partite a giugno per celebrare, ripercorrendone le orme, la celebre prima salita del K2.
“Sulle orme del K2” mette le donne al centro del racconto esplorando la vita al Campo base, le storie personali delle alpiniste e il loro legame con la montagna. Le immagini straordinarie del Karakorum e i momenti più intensi della spedizione si intrecciano con i ricordi della storica scalata del 1954, creando un ponte tra passato e presente. Massimiliano Ossini, noto volto televisivo e narratore principale del progetto, aggiunge un tocco personale all’esperienza. Oltre a vivere al Campo base insieme alle alpiniste, Ossini ha provato a raggiungere Campo 1 a oltre 6000 metri di quota. Un’esperienza raccontata nel suo recente libro “K2. Un passo dalla vetta, un passo dalla vita” edito da Rai Libri.
Il documentario, oltre alla sfera alpinistica, pone l’attenzione sulla fragilità del territorio naturale in cui si trova il K2 e sulla crisi climatica le cui conseguenze sono più tangibili alle quote più alte. Spazio di narrazione trovano infatti le due spedizioni scientifiche presenti l’estate scorsa sul Baltoro, quella dell’Università Ca’ Foscari di Venezia, con il progetto Ice Memory, e quella dell’Università Politecnica delle Marche, che ha realizzato uno studio sulla presenza di inquinanti in ambienti remoti.
