Partenza nel segno delle stelle e della passione che unisce le generazioni per la 25 ore di nuoto alla piscina comunale di Città di Castello. La manifestazione di solidarietà, che fino a domenica 29 dicembre alle ore 12.00 sarà aperta a ingresso gratuito tutti coloro che vorranno nuotare contribuire con un’offerta libera ad aiutare la Caritas e sostenere l’attività degli oratori di San Giacomo e Madonna del Latte, ha preso il via stamattina tra tanto entusiasmo e la voglia di stare insieme che ha accomunato adulti e bambini. Un’energia contagiosa, capace di richiamare sui blocchi di partenza anche i grandi talenti del nuoto nazionale, Federico Burdisso, campione del mondo ed europeo due volte bronzo alle Olimpiadi di Tokyo, e Filippo Megli, olimpionico a Tokyo e Parigi, bronzo agli ultimi mondiali e vice campione europeo, che hanno fatto di tutto per esserci e hanno dato il via all’evento con il primo tuffo. Un balzo in acqua applauditissimo, al quale hanno partecipato anche l’enfant prodige di casa, Andrea Pierini, medagliato ai Criteria Nazionali Giovanili e finalista ai recenti Campionati italiani assoluti e nel Trofeo Internazionale Settecolli di Roma, Marco Fratini, ultraswimmer medico perugino ma tifernate d’adozione, capace di imprese memorabili che, come al solito nuoterà per tutte le 25 ore della manifestazione, e Nerio Neri, master esperto, con i suoi 75 anni, e vero esempio di longevità sportiva. A dare il via alla 25 ore di nuoto è stato l’assessore allo Sport del Comune di Città di Castello, Riccardo Carletti, che ha promesso tante vasche per la nottata e si è unito agli organizzatori, il presidente dei Nuotatori Tifernati Polisport Valentino Cerrotti, con Francesco Serafini, l’amministratore unico di Polisport Stefano Nardoni, il presidente del CNAT’99 Federico Cavargini, il direttore della Caritas Gaetano Zucchini. Anche il sindaco Luca Secondi ha preannunciato che cercherà di essere presente in vasca, come l’anno scorso, quando con l’assessore Carletti duellò sul filo dei metri oltre i 5 chilometri di bracciate. Tra i primi a scendere in acqua, con le corsie subito riempite da 80-90 nuotatori, ci sono stati i giovanissimi atleti del CNAT’99 e i ragazzi della Beata Margherita, che hanno offerto una bella immagine della gioia di fare sport che è in grado di unire tutti.
