La “Pasquella” tradizione secolare fa da apripista all’Epifania. La Società Rionale Mattonata comunica che nel pomeriggio di Sabato 4 Gennaio dalle ore 15:30 circa, si svolgerà, per le vie e le piazze del centro storico, la tradizionale e secolare manifestazione con gli “stornellatori” vestiti con i classici mantelli e cappelli neri, fisarmonica, chitarra e mandolino.

La “Pasquella” tradizione secolare fa da apripista all’Epifania. La Società Rionale Mattonata comunica che nel pomeriggio di Sabato 4 Gennaio dalle ore 15:30 circa, si svolgerà, per le vie e le piazze del centro storico, la tradizionale ”Pasquella”. Organizzata ogni anno dalla storico rione cittadino, consiste in canti e suoni popolari eseguiti da un gruppo di “stornellatori” ambulanti. E’ una tradizione che la Società Rionale, unica in città, rinnova e mette in atto da moltissimi anni per festeggiare la prima “Pasqua” dell’anno. Il nome della suddetta manifestazione popolare deriva dall’espressione “Pasqua Epifania”, poiché secondo una consolidata usanza tutte le più importanti festività venivano abitualmente definite come “Pasqua”. Oltre a ciò, nel pomeriggio di Lunedi 6 Gennaio la Società Rionale festeggerà l’Epifania insieme agli ospiti della Residenza Protetta Opera Pia Muzi Betti di Città di Castello, con un toccante e sentito momento di solidarietà e condivisione di valori umani comuni. Quelli de La Mattonata sono campioni degli “stornelli” e delle tradizioni secolari, che negli anni scorsi per ben due volte consecutive si sono aggiudicati a Cascia, il primo posto nella rassegna Interregionale delle “Pasquarelle”, “Festa delle Tradizioni Rurali della Montagna”. Il sindaco, Luca Secondi affiancato dagli assessori, Letizia Guerri, Benedetta Calagreti e  Michela Botteghi, hanno rivolto un sentito ringraziamento agli “attori” protagonisti della storia di una fra le più sentite tradizioni popolari care a tifernati e turisti: “grazie al Presidente della Società Rionale “Mattonata”, Dino Braganti, al segretario, Paolo Alunni e ai consiglieri della Società Rionale che mantengono vive ed esaltano le nostre tradizioni simbolo di appartenenza sociale”.  Vestiti di tutto punto, con i classici mantelli e cappelli neri, fisarmonica, chitarra e mandolino, gli “stornellatori” si esibiranno a scena aperta per le vie e piazze del centro storico.
