INAUGURAZIONE DELLE INSTALLAZIONI ISPIRATE ALLE GEOMETRIE MONTESSORIANE NEL PARCO DI VILLA MONTESCA

Si terrà lunedì 3 febbraio p.v. alle ore 11:00 presso il Parco di Villa Montesca a Città di Castello l’inaugurazione di un’installazione in ricordo di Maria Montessori che qui scrisse il suo Metodo. L’installazione, opera dell’architetto umbro Matteo Ferroni, è composta da una riproduzione della figura della celebre pedagogista, simbolo del Distretto Montessori Umbria, e da un set di arredi per bambini e adulti, ispirati alla geometria montessoriana.

Gli arredi, costruiti con le macerie recuperate dal terremoto umbro del 2016, sono stati donati alla Fondazione Villa Montesca dalla Fondazione eLand.

L’installazione sarà collocata presso la Sophora Japonica nel Parco della Montesca dove, secondo la tradizione, Maria Montessori scrisse il suo celebre Metodo. Gli arredi caratterizzati da un design geometrico basato su triangoli e quadrati, sono stati concepiti per favorire l’interazione sociale e includono due tavolini per attività educative e sociali dei più piccoli, due panchine per momenti di pausa e riflessione o come piani di lavoro e una fontanella. Questa iniziativa vuole rendere omaggio alla lungimiranza di Alice Hallgarten che invitò Maria Montessori, alla Montesca per sperimentare e scrivere il suo Metodo, mantenendo viva la memoria storica di un luogo così significativo per la pedagogia e la cultura. L’iniziativa è promossa dalla Fondazione Hallgarten Franchetti Centro Studi Villa Montesca in collaborazione con la Fondazione eLand e Afor Umbria che si occupa della gestione e manutenzione della collezione arborea voluta dal barone Franchetti.
