Uffici del Sociale sempre più al top” Il Comune di Arezzo si è aggiudicato un importante finanziamento di 75.000 euro grazie alla vittoria del bando FSE sulla sicurezza urbana promosso dalla Regione Toscana.

Il contributo sarà destinato alla realizzazione del progetto “PAZ! Partecipazione in Piazza Zucchi”, un’iniziativa innovativa di rigenerazione urbana e inclusione sociale nel quartiere di Saione. Il progetto nasce con l’obiettivo di rafforzare la sicurezza percepita e migliorare la qualità della vita in piazza Zucchi, un’area centrale del quartiere caratterizzata da una forte multiculturalità e dalla presenza di diverse realtà associative e sociali e che negli ultimi anni ha vissuto un progressivo aumento di fenomeni di degrado e una riduzione dell’uso dello spazio da parte di residenti e commercianti. Attraverso un approccio partecipativo, PAZ! si propone di trasformare Piazza Zucchi in un luogo più vivo e accogliente, stimolando la partecipazione attiva della cittadinanza, con particolare attenzione ai giovani, alle associazioni locali e ai commercianti. Il progetto avrà una durata di sei mesi e prevede quattro obiettivi principali: creare occasioni di presidio sociale mediante attività di ascolto, laboratori di progettazione partecipata e un calendario di eventi sociali e culturali, modificare la percezione del degrado attraverso interventi temporanei nello spazio pubblico, come installazioni di arredi urbani e strutture per eventi, promuovere il protagonismo giovanile, formando un gruppo di giovani attivi nel quartiere che si facciano promotori di iniziative culturali e sociali, consolidare la rete associativa del quartiere Saione, favorendo il coordinamento tra le diverse realtà già operative sul territorio. “L’ottenimento di questo finanziamento è un segnale importante per la città di Arezzo e per il quartiere di Saione – ha dichiarato il vicesindaco Lucia Tanti –. Con il progetto PAZ! vogliamo restituire centralità a Piazza Zucchi, trasformandola in un luogo di incontro, scambio e partecipazione, contrastando il degrado con la forza della comunità e della cultura. Desidero ringraziare gli uffici per il lavoro prezioso che svolgono e in particolare la dottoressa Paola Garavelli”. Il Comune di Arezzo lavorerà a stretto contatto con i residenti, le associazioni e le realtà del quartiere per dare forma a un progetto condiviso, capace di generare un impatto positivo duraturo nel tempo.
