Sarà una serata dedicata alla danza quella di domenica 9 marzo al Teatro Petrarca di Arezzo (via Guido Monaco 12) nell’ambito del cartellone nato dalla sinergia tra Fondazione Toscana Spettacolo onlus, Fondazione Guido d’Arezzo e Comune di Arezzo. Appuntamento alle 21.00 con “Bolero Soirée”, uno spettacolo che vedrà susseguirsi tre diverse coreografie firmate Maguy Marin e Michele Merola per una produzione MM Contemporary Dance Company. Si parte con “Duo d’Eden”, due corpi avanzano in scena, si avvinghiano l’uno all’altro e non si lasciano più. Un uomo e una donna si attirano e si aggrappano, congiunti fino a diventare indissolubili. Lei, una liana che si avvolge, si attorciglia. Lui che la tiene, la sostiene. C’è qualcosa di mitico nella loro danza, in questa fusione totale di due esseri che diventano uno per non separarsi più. Un Adamo un’Eva immersi in un percorso di sensualità, eros, difesa, attacco in un mondo non così tranquillo, sicuro e idilliaco. Avanti con “Grosse Fugue”, personale rilettura del brano di Ludwig van Beethoven, considerato pietra miliare del rapporto tra musica classica e danza contemporanea. Dall’incontro tra quattro danzatrici e la musica prende forma lo stato di entusiasmo di questa partitura. La danza diventa un’esplosione euforica di energia, dove le interpreti, vestite di rosso, in un’alternanza quasi frenetica, saltano, corrono, si accasciano, si risollevano in un turbine. Una metafora della vita che diventa vortice e gara emozionante contro la morte, dove la vertigine della fine stessa ci porta a voler sempre correre all’impazzata. Chiude “Bolero”, meccanismo ad orologeria dalla rigorosa precisione, ancora oggi tra i brani più noti della storia della musica. Michele Merola ne ha creato una nuova versione coreografica, dopo un approfondito e lungo studio di questo brano ossessivo e ripetitivo, focalizzandosi sul ventaglio inesauribile dei rapporti umani, in particolare quelli di coppia, dentro ai quali, spesso, registriamo le inconciliabili distanze tra uomini e donne, quel “muro trasparente” che li divide. La MM Contemporary Dance Company è una compagnia di danza contemporanea nata nel 1999 come centro di produzione di eventi e spettacoli e come promotrice di rassegne e workshop con l’obiettivo di favorire scambi e alleanze fra artisti italiani e internazionali, testimoni e portavoce della cultura contemporanea. Il repertorio è ricco e variegato, grazie ai lavori di Michele Merola e alle creazioni firmate da coreografi europei e italiani come Maguy Marin, Mats Ek, Mauro Bigonzetti, Thomas Noone, Gustavo Ramirez Sansano, Karl Alfred Schreiner, Eugenio Scigliano, Emanuele Soavi, Enrico Morelli, Daniele Ninarello, Ginevra Panzetti ed Enrico Ticconi, Roberto Tedesco, Camilla Monga. Nel 2010 ha vinto il prestigioso Premio Danza&Danza come migliore compagnia emergente e oggi è, a tutti gli effetti, una realtà di eccellenza della danza italiana, con una consolidata attività nazionale e internazionale.
