AREZZO – Un evento straordinario che porta sul palco due artisti di fama internazionale per un viaggio musicale da “Ah, je veux vivre” da Roméo et Juliette di Gounod a “Sempre libera” da La Traviata di Verdi, passando per la tradizione cameristica spagnola e latinoamericana, tra cui i Cuatro madrigales amatórios di Rodrigo e Melodia Sentimental di Villa-Lobos

 Nadine Sierra, acclamata come una delle voci più affascinanti del panorama operistico odierno, e Bryan Wagorn, pianista canadese-americano assistente direttore d’orchestra presso il Metropolitan Opera di New York: saranno loro i protagonisti del recital di canto “Grandi voci al Petrarca” in programma per venerdì 7 marzo ore 20:30 presso il Teatro Petrarca di Arezzo. La straordinaria musicalità di Sierra, vincitrice del Richard Tucker Award nel 2017 e del Beverly Sills Artist Award del Metropolitan Opera nel 2018, si fonderà con la maestria di Wagorn, già protagonista di produzioni operistiche vincitrici di un Grammy, tra cui “Porgy and Bess” di Gershwin e “Fire Shut Up in My Bones” di Blanchard, in un programma che spazierà da “Ah, je veux vivre” da Roméo et Juliette di Gounod a “Sempre libera” da La Traviata di Verdi, passando anche per la tradizione cameristica spagnola e latinoamericana, tra cui i Cuatro madrigales amatórios di Rodrigo e Melodia Sentimental di Villa-Lobos. Il concerto rientra nel cartellone della Stagione Concertistica Aretina 2025, organizzata con il patrocinio del Comune di Arezzo e il sostegno della Fondazione CR Firenze, possibile grazie alla Fondazione Guido d’Arezzo – ente presieduto dal sindaco della città Alessandro Ghinelli e diretto da Lorenzo Cinatti – e a Giovanni Andrea Zanon, direttore artistico della stagione concertistica della fondazione; con il supporto di Ministero della Cultura, Regione Toscana, Comune di Arezzo, Fondazione CR Firenze (info www.fondazioneguidodarezzo.com, biglietti su www.discoverarezzo.com e in biglietteria al Teatro Petrarca).

Il programma musicale del recital offrirà una panoramica su capolavori che attraversano epoche e stili: la prima parte vedrà protagonista la liricità francese con “Depuis le jour” da Louise di Charpentier, per poi immergersi nelle sonorità spagnole dei Cuatro madrigales amatórios di Joaquín Rodrigo. Si prosegue con “Vilja o Vilja” da Die Lustige Witwe di Lehár e, dopo l’intervallo, riprenderà con la potenza drammatica di “È strano… ah, forse lui… Sempre libera” da La Traviata di Verdi, seguita dai ritmi vibranti della musica brasiliana con “Engehno Novo!” di Ernani Braga e Melodia Sentimental di Heitor Villa-Lobos. Il viaggio musicale proseguirà con l’omaggio a Lope de Vega di Joaquín Turina e si concluderà con l’energia virtuosistica di “Me llaman la primorosa” da El barbero de Sevilla di Gerónimo Giménez, una delle zarzuelas più amate.

La Stagione Concertistica Aretina prosegue martedì 25 marzo alle 20:30 con “Grandi pianisti al Petrarca”, con il recital del leggendario pianista Mikhail Pletnev. Il maestro offrirà al pubblico un programma affascinante che attraversa secoli e stili: dalle composizioni magistrali di Johann Sebastian Bach alla liricità di Robert Schumann, fino alla poesia del romanticismo nordico di Edvard Grieg. E ancora mercoledì 16 aprile alle 20:30 presso la Basilica di San Francescocon il concerto sinfonico di Pasqua che vedrà protagonista l’Orchestra di Padova e del Veneto, una delle realtà orchestrali più apprezzate in Italia. Chiude la stagione il concerto sinfonico con l’Orchestra del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino diretta da Cornelius Meister in occasione della Festa della Repubblica, con il soprano Monica Bacelli, domenica 1 giugno ore 20,30 presso Caurum Hall – Auditorium Guido d’Arezzo: in programma C. M. von Weber Der Freischutz, Ouverture, L. Berio Folk Songs e R. Schumann Sinfonia No. 4, Op. 120.
