Arezzo, 11 aprile 2025 – La Basilica di San Francesco ad Arezzo diventa un palcoscenico speciale in occasione del Concerto di Pasqua della Stagione Concertistica Aretina: appuntamento mercoledì 16 aprile alle ore 20:30 con protagonista l’Orchestra di Padova e del Veneto, diretta da Marco Angius, in un programma che accosta due capolavori assoluti del repertorio sinfonico: la Sinfonia n. 49 “La Passione” di Franz Joseph Haydn e la Sinfonia n. 3 “Eroica” di Ludwig van Beethoven. Una serata di grande musica che, tra tensione drammatica e slancio eroico, accompagna il pubblico in un percorso spirituale e artistico di rara intensità. Il concerto rientra nel cartellone della Stagione Concertistica Aretina 2025, organizzata con il patrocinio del Comune di Arezzo e il sostegno della Fondazione CR Firenze, possibile grazie alla Fondazione Guido d’Arezzo – ente presieduto dal sindaco della città Alessandro Ghinelli e diretto da Lorenzo Cinatti – e a Giovanni Andrea Zanon, direttore artistico della stagione concertistica della fondazione; con il supporto di Ministero della Cultura, Regione Toscana, Comune di Arezzo, Fondazione CR Firenze (info www.fondazioneguidodarezzo.com, biglietti su www.discoverarezzo.com e in biglietteria al Teatro Petrarca).

Fondata nel 1966, l’Orchestra di Padova e del Veneto (OPV) si è affermata come una delle principali realtà orchestrali italiane, e l’unica Istituzione Concertistico-Orchestrale attiva in Veneto. Con oltre 120 produzioni annuali tra concerti e opere liriche, vanta una Stagione stabile a Padova e numerose collaborazioni con le maggiori società di concerti e festival italiani e internazionali. Nel corso della sua storia ha avuto alla guida figure di spicco come Claudio Scimone, Peter Maag, Mario Brunello, fino all’attuale direttore artistico e musicale Marco Angius, in carica dal 2015. Sotto la sua direzione l’OPV ha portato avanti importanti progetti sinfonici – come l’integrale delle Sinfonie di Beethoven – e ha intensificato il proprio impegno nel campo dell’educazione musicale, con iniziative rivolte a bambini, famiglie e scuole. Marco Angius, figura di riferimento per l’interpretazione del repertorio moderno e contemporaneo, ha diretto alcune delle principali orchestre e ensemble internazionali, tra cui Ensemble Intercontemporain, London Sinfonietta, Tokyo Philharmonic, Orchestra del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, Orchestra della RAI e Orchestra Teatro La Fenice. La sua visione artistica, unita a una profonda attenzione al linguaggio musicale e all’innovazione, ha dato nuovo impulso all’attività dell’Orchestra di Padova e del Veneto, rendendola una delle realtà più vivaci e dinamiche del panorama musicale italiano. La Stagione Concertistica Aretina si chiude con il concerto sinfonico con l’Orchestra del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino diretta da Cornelius Meister in occasione della Festa della Repubblica, con il soprano Monica Bacelli, domenica 1 giugno ore 20,30 presso Caurum Hall – Auditorium Guido d’Arezzo: in programma C. M. von Weber Der Freischutz, Ouverture, L. Berio Folk Songs e R. Schumann Sinfonia No. 4, Op. 120.
