Pediatria territoriale diffusa: lo chiedono i cittadini toscani con proposta di legge di iniziativa popolareConferenza stampa del gruppo consiliare Scelgo Arezzo “Come gruppo consiliare sosteniamo la proposta di legge regionale di iniziativa popolare ‘Rete pediatrica e ruolo dell’Azienda Ospedaliera Universitaria Meyer. Modifiche alla legge regionale 40/2005’.

Auspichiamo che l’intero Consiglio Comunale e dunque la città di Arezzo che esso rappresenta si allinei al nostro intento”. Così i consiglieri comunali Marco Donati e Valentina Sileno si esprimono sul testo che l’assise toscana sarà chiamata a esaminare e che è “frutto del prezioso lavoro di un comitato promotore composto da numerose associazioni, tra cui due realtà aretine. La proposta è stata firmata da circa 4.000 cittadini toscani e presentata alla commissione sanità del Consiglio Regionale, grazie anche all’impegno di alcuni Comuni della Provincia. Dunque, l’iter legislativo è iniziato e in virtù della preferenza accordata a tale tipologia di istanze provenienti dalla società civile dovrà concludersi improrogabilmente entro maggio 2025. Tra i contenuti che vogliamo sottolineare c’è il rafforzamento della rete pediatrica, compito che richiede particolare attenzione da parte delle istituzioni locali e regionali, al fine di garantire una maggiore risposta rispetto alle necessità dei pazienti e delle famiglie e una decongestione di ospedali quali il San Donato o il Meyer che potrebbero così concentrare maggiori risorse sui trattamenti ad alta specializzazione e alle cure tempestive. Altro aspetto importante: nei weekend si verifica la mancanza di assistenza specialistica pediatrica a livello territoriale, aspetto che ingenera difficoltà a genitori che come unica risorsa hanno il pronto soccorso pediatrico o professionisti che magari aprono privatamente di sabato, peraltro non di domenica, la loro attività ambulatoriale. Auspichiamo che la ‘pediatria di base’, diffusa, con orari più ampi faccia parte del sistema sanitario toscano e per questo chiederemo al Consiglio Comunale di Arezzo di esprimere il suo sostegno a questa proposta, comunicandolo ai presidenti della commissione competente e del Consiglio Regionale e ai consiglieri regionali eletti nella provincia di Arezzo. Tra le realtà aretine promotrici figura Cuore di Bimbo rappresentata da Andrea Fiori: “ringrazio Scelgo Arezzo per avere condiviso la battaglia che è nata proprio in questa Provincia per poi estendersi a tutta la Regione. Ci auguriamo che il Consiglio Comunale manifesti unanimità quando sarà chiamato a esprimersi”.Anna Cerea, vicepresidente del Comitato aretino neonatologia: “rappresentiamo genitori con figli che hanno dovuto affrontare l’esperienza del ricovero nel reparto di neonatologia dell’ospedale, un centro di secondo livello e un’eccellenza del territorio che merita di essere sostenuta. Sono 1.400 i parti annui al San Donato e tra questi 250 bambini hanno bisogno di assistenza e dunque parliamo di una realtà importante anche nei numeri”.
