Sono convinto che il doppio binario dell’iniziativa, da una parte i bambini ma dall’altra i genitori possa servire a stimolare un cambiamento nelle abitudini delle famiglie. La mobilità sostenibile di Bimbimbici oltre che risultare una piacevole lezione di educazione stradale e un primo approccio con le buone pratiche è un modo per rendere concreti obiettivi che rischiano altrimenti di rimanere enunciazioni fini a se stesse”.
Il consigliere della FIAB Enrico Valentini: “Bimbimbici vuole essere una gioiosa e allegra pedalata di primavera e uno stimolo a modificare gli stili di vita, per renderli più salutari e sostenibili. Più in generale, riuscire a incidere nelle modalità di trasporto lungo i percorsi tra casa e scuola, offre innegabili vantaggi. Per questo occorrono strade sicure: la città ciclabile, come la città 30, non è un’utopia ma una parte della soluzione, per una transizione ecologica e l’azzeramento delle emissioni nocive. E in merito a questo, registriamo come anche quest’anno l’esperienza del ‘piedibus’ stia dando risultati in diverse scuole primarie e come la settimana ‘andiamo a scuola a piedi e in bici” sia stata significativa. FIAB ringrazia chi ci ha sostenuto e contribuisce a valorizzare l’evento: Comune, Estra, da sempre attenta ai suddetti valori, Ufficio scolastico provinciale, Nuove Acque, Legambiente, Scout CNGEI, Scuola di ciclismo Albergo/Oliveto, SCA MTB Arezzo”.
Ritrovo domenica 4 maggio alle 9,30 al parco Ducci, partenza alle 10 con scorta della polizia municipale e dei volontari FIAB, rientro alle 12 dopo avere percorso la città per circa 10 chilometri. Chiusura con gli sbandieratori di Arezzo e ancora tanta attenzione all’ambiente con acqua senza sprechi, merenda con mele del territorio, raccolta differenziata dei rifiuti grazie all’eco-stazione di Sei Toscana. La manifestazione si terrà anche in caso di maltempo, in tale circostanza, oltre a freni efficienti, gomme gonfie, bici in ordine e casco sarà opportuno anche un abbigliamento adeguato.
