Le forze dell’ordine hanno prelevato il 49enne nella sua abitazione per accompagnarlo a Fiumicino, dove è stato consegnato alle autorità del paese straniero.
L’aereo è atterrato a Rinas (Tirana), dove è stato preso in custodia dalle forze operative della direzione generale delle carceri per essere poi trasferito presso gli Istituti per l’esecuzione dei reati penali e scontare direttamente la misura cautelare detentiva. L’uomo deve scontare in Albania una condanna a 4 anni di carcere emessa lo scorso anno dal tribunale di Puke per i fatti del gennaio 2021 quando l’uomo si finse morto carbonizzato all’interno di un auto, al cui interno fece ritrovare resti di ossa umane per simulare il proprio decesso. I difensori del “naufrago di Montecristo” avevano presentato ricorso in Cassazione contro l’estradizione, che è però stato respinto, dopodiché alla fine del marzo scorso il Ministro Carlo Nordio aveva firmato il provvedimento, che è stato eseguito nelle ultime ore.
