In occasione della Giornata Europea dei Parchi, sabato 24 maggio alle ore 17.00, Villa Magherini Graziani a San Giustino ospiterà un incontro pubblico dal titolo “Il Parco che non è. Implicazioni sociali, economiche ed ambientali dell’istituzione di un Parco Nazionale”. Un appuntamento che si preannuncia di particolare interesse per il territorio appenninico tra Umbria, Toscana e Marche, da tempo attraversato da un acceso confronto sulla possibilità di creare una nuova area protetta nell’area del Catria, Nerone e Alpe della Luna.
L’incontro, organizzato dal Comitato promotore del Parco in collaborazione con Fondazione Progetto Valtiberina, si aprirà con i saluti istituzionali del sindaco di San Giustino, Stefano Veschi. Successivamente, saranno proiettate alcune sintesi video della docuserie “Parco Sì, Parco No”, approfondimento curato dalla testata locale TTV.it con l’obiettivo di esplorare le diverse posizioni in campo: dai comitati promotori ai contrari, dagli amministratori locali agli operatori economici, fino agli esperti di gestione ambientale.
A seguire, un panel di relatori affronterà i vari aspetti legati alla possibile istituzione del Parco Nazionale: Giovanni Paci, Giovanni Paci, presidente del Comitato promotore, illustrerà le ragioni alla base della proposta; Patrizia Rosa, presidente della Cooperativa Oros Toscana, e Ennio Dallari, dell’Agriturismo Casale Camalda, offriranno il punto di vista di chi lavora e vive nel territorio.
Un inquadramento generale sul sistema delle aree protette in Italia sarà offerto da Luca Santini, presidente di Federparchi, mentre Elisa Lello, sociologa dell’Università “Carlo Bo” di Urbino, presenterà i risultati di un’indagine condotta sulla popolazione locale, volta a misurare il livello di consenso e le perplessità dei residenti. Le conclusioni saranno affidate a Thomas De Luca, assessore regionale umbro con delega a energia, ambiente, adattamento climatico, paesaggio e urbanistica. Al professor Gabriele Marconcini, docente e giornalista, il compito di condurre e moderare i lavori.
