AREZZO – area riconsegnata alla città, in attesa della conclusione definitiva dopo la giostra di settembre
Casi: “Torna alla città un’area importante del centro. Lavori di arredo definitivamente ultimati dopo la Giostra di Settembre”
I Giardini Porcinai riaprono alla cittadinanza. Da oggi l’area sarà nuovamente accessibile, seppure in forma provvisoria, grazie alla conclusione delle opere strutturali di riqualificazione. Un passaggio importante, che consente agli aretini di tornare a vivere uno degli spazi verdi storici del centro cittadino e al contempo, risponde alle esigenze organizzative del Quartiere di Porta Santo Spirito in vista della Giostra del Saracino.
“Restituiamo alla città un luogo simbolico e molto frequentato – dichiara l’assessore Alessandro Casi –. I lavori strutturali sono stati portati a termine, permettendoci di rispettare l’impegno preso con i cittadini e con il Quartiere di Porta Santo Spirito. La parte relativa al verde e agli arredi sarà invece completata a settembre, subito dopo la seconda edizione della Giostra”.
L’intervento ha infatti previsto la sospensione temporanea delle operazioni di inerbimento, piantumazione arbustiva e installazione degli arredi urbani, come panchine e cestini, in quanto l’attuale periodo estivo non è idoneo alla corretta attecchitura del verde e rischierebbe di compromettere la funzionalità dell’area nei giorni intensi di utilizzo legati alla manifestazione storica.
“Una scelta responsabile – prosegue Casi – che ci consente da un lato di non vanificare il lavoro già fatto e dall’altro, di garantire piena fruibilità dell’area al Quartiere Gialloblù, che da tradizione utilizza i Giardini durante le settimane propiziatorie della Giostra”.
Prossima anche l’apertura della parte centrale dei Giardini, per la quale si attendono le autorizzazioni degli organi competenti al fine di poter completare anche lì le opere previste.
“La riapertura odierna è un segnale concreto – conclude l’assessore –, un impegno mantenuto nei confronti della città e un passo avanti nella riqualificazione del cuore verde del centro storico”.
