E’ stato condotto dai professionisti della Radiologia Interventistica, diretta dal dottor Marcello Bisulli in stretta collaborazione coi colleghi della Degenza Breve Chirurgica diretta dal dottor Leonardo Bergossi e afferente al Dipartimento Chirurgico e Grandi Traumi di Cesena che fa capo al dottor Carlo Lusenti.
Come spiega il dottor Bergossi “si è proceduto a chiudere le due arterie emorroidarie superiori mediante l’utilizzo di un catetere introdotto nell’arteria femorale dell’inguine allo scopo di arrestare un sanguinamento rettale continuo, molto importante, in un paziente in terapia cronica con anticoagulanti per problematiche cardiache. Si tratta di una procedura mininvasiva già descritta in letteratura per casi di emorroidi sanguinanti in pazienti non altrimenti operabili con le canoniche procedure chirurgiche di asportazione oppure di sospensione e legatura delle emorroidi con tecniche conservative, tutte normalmente eseguite presso la Degenza Breve Chirurgica che è Centro di riferimento THD per la gestione della malattia emorroidaria con tecniche mininvasive – conservative. E’ pertanto un trattamento da riservare solo a casi selezionati caratterizzati da gravi sanguinamenti ripetuti e a rischio di problematiche a carico di cuore e reni”. L’introduzione di questa nuova procedura di radiologia interventistica rappresenta per l’ospedale Bufalini di Cesena un importante passo avanti che – come già avviene per il trattamento mininvasivo delle patologie benigne uterine, delle varicosità del bacino femminile, delle malattie prostatiche benigne non candidabili a chirurgia e per tutte le tipologie di sanguinamento dei pazienti politraumatizzati afferenti al Trauma Center – è stato possibile grazie al grande lavoro di squadra e alla collaborazione multidisciplinare tra i professionisti.
