Anghiari si appresta a vivere l’edizione 2025 del Palio della Vittoria. Il XXI atto dell’era moderna si svolgerà infatti domenica 29 giugno a memoria eterna della Battaglia di Anghiari, combattuta nel 1440, scontro decisivo nel ridefinire i confini della Toscana e divenuto celebre anche grazie alla misteriosa opera di Leonardo Da Vinci. La manifestazione organizzata dall’Associazione Culturale Palio della Vittoria, si aprirà con la rievocazione storica caratterizzata dall’ingresso in Piazza Baldaccio dei Sindaci, dei cavalieri, dei cortei storici di Anghiari, Sansepolcro, Firenze e Arezzo e culminerà al calar del sole con la “corsa più pazza del mondo”
I valorosi atleti, in rappresentanza dei comuni di appartenenza, si sfideranno infatti nei 1440 metri che caratterizzano la corsa a piedi, con la possibilità di ostacolarsi fisicamente e/o di agevolare il capitano della squadra attraverso trattenute, spinte, placcaggi. Un’autentica battaglia sportiva (nei limiti del regolamento) resa ancora più dura dalle ardue pendenze della Ruga di San Martino, la salita che contraddistingue Anghiari e che porterà gli atleti al traguardo di Piazza Baldaccio. La competizione agonistica scatterà dalla Cappella della Vittoria, nel luogo in cui il 29 giugno del 1440 si svolse la Battaglia di Anghiari e premierà non il singolo atleta, ma il Comune rappresentato, che riceverà l’ambito PALIO. Le ultime due edizioni hanno visto il successo di Gubbio. Anghiari guida l’albo d’oro con 4 successi. Ognuno dei 19 comuni presenti potrà schierare al via un massimo di 5 atleti, per un numero complessivo che potrebbe far segnare il nuovo record. In Piazza Baldaccio così come è accaduto negli anni precedenti, per agevolare il pubblico presente, è già stata montata la tribuna e domenica verrà allestito anche il maxischermo.

- Ore 17:30 Sala del Cassero di Anghiari l’incontro sul tema “Anghiari 1440: l’onore delle armi – Cavalieri, Armi ed Armature nelle Guerre di Italia” a cura dello storico e divulgatore Roberto Cinquegrana
- Ore 21:00 Piazza Mameli a ingresso gratuito “Il Baldaccio d’Anghiari – storia e leggenda di un capitano di ventura” a cura della Compagnia dei Ricomposti.
Domenica 29 giugno
- Ore 18:30 rievocazione storica e sfilata in Piazza Baldaccio dei Sindaci, dei Cortei Storici dei comuni partecipanti e degli atleti
- al calar del soleIL PALIO, la corsa in salita (lunghezza di 1440 metri dalla Cappella della Vittoria situata nella pianura che unisce Anghiari e Sansepolcro fino a Piazza Baldaccio) che premierà non il singolo atleta, ma il Comune da lui rappresentato
- Ore 21:30 lungo le antiche mura la “Cena della Vittoria” aperta a tutti con prenotazione allo 0575788009. Posti ancora disponibili per chi vuol vivere la festa post Palio.
