Ufficializzata la donazione da parte della famiglia di due opere al Comune di Città di Castello, esposte nella Sala delle nuove acquisizioni Sono state scelte due opere iconiche dell’arte di Novello Bruscoli e del suo rapporto con la città per la donazione che la famiglia Bruscoli-Righetti ha fatto al Comune tifernate:
“Paesaggio” del 1972 che propone lo skyline turrito della città e una sorta di viaggio nel tempo con “Raffaello, Elia Volpi ed io” del 1983, in cui Bruscoli, superando la dimensione del tempo, compone protagonisti, architetture, opere e atmosfere della storia artistica della città: la donazione delle due opere è stata ufficializzata con la scopritura dei quadri che saranno visibili nella Sala delle nuove acquisizioni, “dove l’Amministrazione comunale ha intenzione di esporre le opere frutto di gesti di liberalità, come nel caso di Bruscoli, o donate dagli artisti, chiamati dal Comune ad esporre nelle Sale del museo, come ad esempio Giulia Napoleone, attualmente con una sua antologica nell’Ala Nuova” ha spiegato Michela Botteghi, ringraziando la famiglia, presente con Lorenzo e Liana Bruscoli, “sia per la donazione che per il percorso di collaborazione che ci ha portato fino a qui, attraverso una mostra nell’anno del centenario dell’artista. Il mecenatismo è importante per continuare a valorizzare ed arricchire il patrimonio artistico della città, proseguendo un lavoro che è stato iniziato da chi ci ha preceduto e al quale siamo tenuti a contribuire. Stiamo sviluppando progetti e idee per tenere insieme l’impronta tifernate del museo, l’immagine che proietta nel nostro immaginario con le sue leggende e le grandi potenzialità che può esprimere come seconda galleria dell’Umbria, custode di Raffaello, Luca Signorelli, Carrà e De Chirico”. Lorenzo Bruscoli, a nome della famiglia Bruscoli-Righetti, ha spiegato come “l’idea di fare una donazione al Comune era in cantiere da tempo, soprattutto per mantenere la memoria di un periodo recente della storia di Città di Castello, la seconda parte del Novecento, che è stata contrassegnata da esperienze innovative grazie a esponenti locali, artisti o appassionati d’arte, che si sono mossi nel solco di quanto Alberto Burri stava facendo. Il rischio che siano dimenticate esiste e la donazione può essere un primo passo per ricostruire quella pagina di storia culturale e offrire un saggio di quanto a prodotto. Da questa idea siamo partiti per poi, grazie all’Amministrazione e Lorenzo Fiorucci, realizzare anche un’antologica che ha reso omaggio al centenario di Novello Bruscoli”. “Per dare corpo al progetto di valorizzazione delle collezioni contemporanee, voluto dall’Amministrazione, dal 2024 stiamo concentrando gli sforzi su alcuni filoni e figure che rappresentino questo segmento artistico sia a livello di grandi correnti generali che si interpretazioni locali” ha spiegato Lorenzo Fiorucci, curatore della mostra su Novello Bruscoli “nel tenere insieme locale e globale Novello Bruscoli è stato un ponte antelitteram, importando suggestioni e visioni sperimentali, promuovendo grandi figure, creando con la Galleria il Pozzo, un luogo dove l’arte potesse essere rappresentate e gli artisti specchiarsi, incontrarsi. Per questo le due opere, oggetto di donazione, sono perfette anche dal punto di vista simbolico. La prima è uno skyline del gruppo turrito, la seconda l’incontro impossibile tra Raffaello, Elia Volpi e Novello Bruscoli in un ambiente che somiglia alla Pinacoteca”.“Buon compleanno, Pinacoteca!113”, in programma nel fine settimana, prevede stasera, venerdì 27 giugno 2025, alle 21.00 la visita guidata in notturna “Pinacoteca al chiaro di luna”, sabato 28 giugno 2025, alle 15.00 una visita guidata sulla storia del museo, e domenica 29 giugno 2025, giorno in cui la Pinacoteca fu inaugurata nel 1912, il concerto di Tiferno Blues Project sul Giardino rinascimentale
