SANSEPOLCRO – – Moda, arte e restauro: una conferenza di Sara Paci Piccolo su Piero della Francesca La Fondazione Piero della Francesca è lieta di invitare il pubblico alla conferenza “Come parlano i vestiti. Piero della Francesca e la ‘moda’ del Quattrocento”, tenuta dalla dottoressa Sara Paci Piccolo, docente al Polimoda di Firenze e al Fashion Institute of Technology di New York, voce di riferimento nello studio dei rapporti tra moda e arte.
La conferenza esplorerà il ruolo simbolico e culturale dell’abbigliamento nei capolavori di Piero della Francesca, rivelando come la moda del Quattrocento parli attraverso i dettagli pittorici, raccontando identità, status e sensibilità estetiche dell’epoca. Durante l’incontro verrà annunciato il progetto di restauro dei costumi storici realizzati negli anni Novanta per la mostra “Con gli occhi di Piero” (Arezzo, sottochiesa di San Francesco, 1992). Gli abiti, di proprietà della Fondazione Piero della Francesca, furono fedelmente ricostruiti a partire dai dipinti del maestro e rappresentano un patrimonio unico nel dialogo tra moda e iconografia rinascimentale. Il restauro sarà affidato alla cura della stessa Paci Piccolo e avviato nei prossimi mesi. “Con questo progetto vogliamo restituire valore a un lavoro straordinario di interpretazione e ricostruzione storica, e al tempo stesso rinnovare il nostro impegno nella valorizzazione dei linguaggi visivi e simbolici dell’arte di Piero”, dichiara Francesca Chieli, presidente della Fondazione. A conclusione della serata, il pubblico sarà invitato ad assistere a un concerto lirico dell’Accademie de Wemmel (Belgio), accompagnato al pianoforte dal maestro Laureta Cucù Hoday, in un momento musicale di grande suggestione che chiuderà l’evento nel segno della bellezza e dell’armonia.
L’iniziativa avrà luogo il 3 luglio 2025, alle ore 17.30 nella Casa di Piero della Francesca a Sansepolcro.
