Le vaccinazioni previste sono quelle contro lo Pneumococco e l’Herpes Zoster e rappresentano una importante opportunità di protezione verso queste malattie debilitanti.

L’Herpes Zoster comunemente chiamatoFuoco di Sant’Antonio, è una patologia comune dovuta alla riattivazione del virus della varicella. Può causare complicazioni a livello delle fibre nervose che causano un dolore severo e cronico che può durare per lungo tempo (anche anni).

Le malattie da Pneumococco sono causate da un batterio, denominato Streptococcus pneumoniae, di cui esistono numerose varianti (sierotipi). Le infezioni da pneumococco sono molto diffuse nella popolazione anche in assenza di sintomi. In alcuni casi questo batterio può causare otiti e polmoniti, diffondere nel sangue (setticemie/sepsi) o nel sistema nervoso centrale (meningiti), con conseguenze molto gravi ed anche mortali soprattutto in persone con malattie croniche o con età più avanzata.

Per fare queste vaccinazioni è possibile rivolgersi al proprio medico di medicina generale o prenotare tramite Cup, Cuptel e Cupweb (FSE) per accedere agli ambulatori dell’Igiene Pubblica. Per la prenotazione non serve la ricetta medica.
