AREZZO – Sabato 12 luglio 2025, a San Severo di Arezzo, si svolgerà“Ricordo di un eccidio”, un pomeriggio dedicato alle vittime della strage nazista che il 14 luglio 1944 sconvolse la località lungo la strada panoramica che sale verso l’Alpe di Poti.L’iniziativa è inserita nel calendario di “Estate all’Alpe di Poti” ed è organizzata da La Fattoria in Cammino Ets e dalla comunità rurale Io Vivo Poti. In programma una camminata, una performance teatrale, la musica della Casa del Vento e le testimonianze di alcuni sopravvissuti
I FATTI Il mattino del 14 luglio 1944, un gruppo di quindici militari tedeschi eseguì un rastrellamento a San Severo, dove vivevano tredici famiglie di contadini, boscaioli e carbonai, in quel periodo impinguate da alcuni sfollati di Arezzo. I soldati arrestarono venti uomini accusati senza prove di far parte delle bande partigiane o di proteggere la loro clandestinità, ne rilasciarono tre e accompagnarono gli altri in un vicino boschetto, dove li trucidarono. Le diciassette vittime avevano un’età compresa tra 17 e 67 anni. Oggi un monumento in pietra e marmo, di fronte alla chiesa romanica di San Severo, ricorda quel crimine disumano.
IL PROGRAMMA In vista dell’81° anno dai terribili fatti, San Severo ospiterà un’iniziativa per ricordare una delle più efferate stragi naziste nel territorio aretino e ridare voce a quelle persone che morirono o rimasero segnate per sempre dall’eccidio.
Il programma prevede il ritrovo dei partecipanti alle ore 17 di fronte al Cimitero di Pomaio, per la partenza di una passeggiata commemorativa verso San Severo, lungo il Sentiero CAI 35. L’itinerario di circa tre chilometri e mezzo, immerso nella natura, sarà condotto da Francesco Chianucci di “A piccoli passi”. Si consigliano scarpe adatte, torcia e scorta d’acqua.
Alle ore 18 arrivo nel piazzale laterale della chiesa di San Severo, dove i partecipanti si uniranno a tutti gli altri presenti. Da lì partirà una seconda camminata, più breve, verso il luogo dell’eccidio, anticipata da un’introduzione alla storia della località e al contesto in cui si svolse la rappresaglia a cura del giornalista culturale Marco Botti. Sul luogo esatto in cui i civili furono trucidati ci sarà una performance teatrale di Marco Boncompagni e Silvia Donati, concepita come memoria emozionale, con un testo narrativo didascalico che vuole riportare alla luce il dolore causato attraverso i nomi, i volti e le storie personali di quella triste vicenda. L’ascolto della narrazione vuol essere un invito a riscoprirsi umani, affinché quelle morti non siano state vane.
Alle ore 19, nello spazio verde retrostante alla chiesa, ci sarà un toccante momento in cui si alterneranno testimonianze, racconti e riflessioni sull’eccidio, grazie alla presenza di alcuni sopravvissuti. A seguire Luca Lanzi (voce e chitarra), Sauro Lanzi (fisarmonica) e Massimiliano Gregorio (basso) della band Casa del Vento eseguiranno alcuni delle migliori canzoni tratte dal loro repertorio, compresa la toccante “Notte di San Severo”. L’intenso pomeriggio, arricchito dalla mostra fotografica Ed io ero Sandokan. Sguardi di partigiani” di Lorenzo Nasi, si concluderà al tramonto, con una merenda a offerta libera e il rientro, muniti di torcia, per coloro che sono partiti nel pomeriggio da Pomaio.
