Protagonista della serata di Lunedì 14 luglio del Festival del Calcio Italiano sarà Serse Cosmi, volto amato e amico della manifestazione. Cosmi torna sul palco del festival, questa volta ad Arezzo, per raccontare sé stesso e una carriera da allenatore vissuta intensamente, a tutte le latitudini del calcio. L’incontro si inserisce nel ciclo/format “I protagonisti del Calcio si Raccontano”, che ha già visto salire sul palco Guglielmo Manzo (presidente dell’Arezzo) e Dario Rossi (responsabile scouting dell’Atalanta). Un’occasione per rivivere, attraverso la voce di Cosmi, un percorso in panchina costruito con passione, esperienza e coraggio. Arezzo ha un posto speciale nella storia dell’allenatore perugino: qui, all’inizio della sua carriera, ha conquistato due promozioni in tre anni, portando la squadra dalla Serie D alla C1. Quest’anno, inoltre, ricorre il ventennale della sua storica partecipazione alla Champions League con l’Udinese, dopo aver già guidato il Perugia – la squadra della sua città – in Coppa UEFA. Cosmi ha calcato i campi della Serie A anche con Livorno, Palermo, Lecce, Siena e Crotone, fino all’ultima esperienza, tre anni fa, sulla panchina del Rijeka in Croazia.
L’appuntamento si preannuncia come una serata ricca di emozioni, come sottolinea Donato Alfani, presidente del Festival: «Si rinnova il nostro appuntamento mensile: Serse Cosmi è capace di emozionare le piazze più calde d’Italia ed è, per me, soprattutto un sincero amico. Serse incarna lo spirito del nostro Festival del Calcio: passione, coraggio nelle scelte e voglia di condividere valori che vanno oltre i confini del campo.
