“Per il Cai, l’accesso alla montagna deve essere libero e i sentieri,  anche se passano su terreni privati, devono essere accessibili a tutti”, ha dichiarato il Presidente generale Antonio Montani  Un tornello posizionato all’imbocco del sentiero per il monte Seceda in Val Gardena.

L’accesso è possibile solo con il pagamento di una quota di ingresso. Si tratta del gesto provocatorio dei 4 proprietari dei terreni, che ricadono all’interno del Parco naturale Puez-Odle, sui quali passa un itinerario percorso ogni giorno da centinaia di turisti, escursionisti e ciclisti, in alcuni casi poco preparati e con scarsa attenzione all’ambiente che li circonda. L’iniziativa è stata ripresa dai media e il Club Alpino Italiano ci tiene a fare chiarezza. “Dal nostro punto di vista, si tratta di una provocazione che ha il merito di porre l’attenzione sulle conseguenze di un turismo di massa senza freni nei territori montani. Il Club Alpino Italiano è contrario però a ogni restrizione della fruizione della montagna. Per il Sodalizio l’accesso alla montagna deve essere libero e i sentieri, anche se passano su terreni privati devono essere accessibili. Naturalmente il Cai condanna ogni comportamento non rispettoso nei confronti dell’ambiente e delle proprietà altrui”, ha dichiarato il Presidente generale Antonio Montani.
