SANSEPOLCRO (AR), CasermArcheologica è un centro di sperimentazione culturale dove l’arte incontra la partecipazione civica; dal 30 luglio ospiterà presso la propria sede – lo storico Palazzo Muglioni di Sansepolcro – la residenza artistica di Lucy Orta, una delle più influenti “artiviste” a livello internazionale. Nota per la sua capacità di coniugare arte e impegno sociale, Lucy Orta ha esposto le sue opere in prestigiose istituzioni come la Tate Modern di Londra e la Biennale di Venezia. I suoi lavori sono riconosciuti come potenti strumenti di rigenerazione sociale e attivazione comunitaria. Durante la residenza in Valtiberina, l’artista incontrerà cittadini e cittadine: giovani, artigiani, artisti, insegnanti, imprenditori, attivisti, raccogliendo storie e testimonianze legate al territorio. Un percorso di ascolto e connessione che pone CasermArcheologica come catalizzatore di relazioni e memoria collettiva volta alla trasformazione culturale, sociale e ambientale. Il progetto culminerà nel 2026 con la mostra Trame di Comunità, allestita negli spazi di CasermArcheologica. L’esposizione presenterà un’opera corale in cui i volti e le storie raccolte verranno restituiti attraverso un’installazione tessile, metafora dei fili identitari che intrecciano passato, presente e futuro di questa parte di mondo.
Incontro pubblico – 30 luglio, ore 18:00 In occasione della residenza, martedì 30 luglio alle ore 18:00, CasermArcheologica organizza un incontro aperto al pubblico con Lucy Orta. Un’opportunità rara per dialogare direttamente con una delle voci più autorevoli dell’arte contemporanea impegnata, e per conoscere da vicino il processo creativo che sta dando forma alla futura mostra.
L’ingresso è libero fino a esaurimento posti.
Il progetto fa parte del programma di residenze e mostre sostenuto dalla Fondazione CR Firenze, che da anni affianca CasermArcheologica, riconoscendone il valore culturale e generativo. Il sostegno della Fondazione permette la realizzazione di un calendario qualificato di residenze artistiche e progetti espositivi tra il 2025 e il 2026, rafforzando il ruolo di CasermArcheologica come laboratorio vivo di arte, comunità e territorio.
