Chi mi conosce sa quanto la materia del 5×1000 mi appassioni e chi non mi conosce lo capirà leggendo questa lettera. Chi fa il mio lavoro, quello di raccogliere fondi per una buona causa, considera il 5×1000 una sorta di termometro di gradimento, un misuratore dell’attaccamento della propria comunità. Di questi 460 ne conoscerò personalmente una ventina, trenta a voler essere ottimisti. Sono quelli che ci hanno detto di aver firmato per l’Archivio: Silvia, Camillo, Francesca, Flavia, Grazia, Dante, Giovanni, Antonella e molti altri hanno messo la propria firma e ce lo hanno svelato anche con parole importanti come queste arrivate poche settimane fa “sono un amico e sostenitore del vostro Archivio. 5 per 1000 disposto a vostro favore. Consapevolmente e fieramente”.
Mi piacerebbe vederle le vostre firme scritte di pugno con grafie diverse nella casella giusta, quella destinata alla tutela dei beni culturali.
In realtà mi piacerebbe (e piacerebbe a tutti i soggetti destinatari del 5×1000) avere l’elenco di tutti i 460. Credo sarebbe un diritto per ogni ente conoscere i propri sostenitori ma, con motivazioni bizzarre sul diritto alla privacy, nessuno sa chi destina il 5×1000. Sono numeri anonimi ma non sono per noi persone anonime. Vi immagino rannicchiati nelle liste della nostra newsletter a pensare “ci sono anche io fra i 460”. Continuano ad aumentare le firme per la memoria. In quasi venti anni le abbiamo triplicate ed è una gioia grande che quest’anno si è tradotta in 22.561 preziosi euro raccolti. Vorrei veramente poter dire grazie a ognuno di voi 460 che ci avete scelto. Sceglierci in mezzo a una valanga di cause umanitarie, emergenziali, sanitarie, sociali è un segnale davvero forte della vostra appartenenza. Un gesto che ogni volta mi commuove. Siamo negli elenchi del 5×1000 dal 2006 e all’epoca avevamo 158 firme. Siamo cresciuti in tutto e, anche se ci piace la dimensione “piccola” che l’Archivio con il suo museo mantengono per scelta, veder crescere i numeri del 5×1000 è una grande soddisfazione per tutti noi. In particolare per me che sento la responsabilità di far crescere questa istituzione anche in termini di raccolta fondi. Grazie per la soddisfazione che ci e mi procurate. Mi impegno a onorare la vostra firma con tutto l’entusiasmo possibile destinandola ai progetti dell’Archivio, dalla conservazione dei manoscritti alle attività editoriali, dalla manutenzione del Piccolo museo del diario alle iniziative di digitalizzazione che ci permettono di allargare i confini della Città del diario lasciando che la memoria si espanda in ogni dove.
