Ieri a SAN CASCIANO DEI BAGNI una serata dedicata agli esiti della prima parte della campagna di scavo dell’anno 2025 e alla presentazione del terzo volume della collana dedicata al Santuario: “Il Santuario Ritrovato 3. Oltre il bronzo” Nella serata di ieri, domenica 3 agosto, Piazza Matteotti a San Casciano dei Bagni ha ospitato l’atteso appuntamento dedicato alla presentazione degli esiti della prima parte della campagna di scavo 2025 al “Santuario Ritrovato”.
Alla presenza delle archeologhe e degli archeologi che hanno lavorato nei primi mesi dell’anno, il pubblico ha potuto conoscere i risultati raggiunti, le nuove scoperte e le prospettive per la seconda parte della campagna. In anteprima gli archeologi e responsabili Jacopo Tabolli, Emanuele Mariotti e Ada Salvi hanno mostrato al pubblico alcuni ritrovamenti tra cui terrecotte architettoniche e votive, incensieri e perfino pigne in terracotta. Si tratta di reperti appartenenti allo spazio del rito esterno al tempio, che sta restituendo un quadro straordinario di rituali e pratiche sacre, arricchendo in modo significativo la comprensione del complesso del santuario.
La serata è stata anche l’occasione per presentare ufficialmente il terzo volume della collana dedicata al Santuario, “Il Santuario Ritrovato 3. Oltre il bronzo”, edito da Sillabe Editore, con la partecipazione degli autori, Emanuele Mariotti, Ada Salvi e Jacopo Tabolli, e della casa editrice. “L’appuntamento estivo con il team di scavo è ormai una consuetudine ed è un momento importante in quanto la condivisione con la comunità è da sempre un elemento imprescindibile del progetto – afferma la Sindaca Agnese Carletti – Mentre i nostri Bronzi si fanno ambasciatori di San Casciano in Europa e mentre il film “In carne e bronzo. Il Santuario di San Casciano dei Bagni” di Eugenio Farioli e Brigida Gullo continua a vincere premi, l’ultimo arrivato qualche giorno fa è quello ricevuto alla XVI edizione dell’Aquileia Film Festival, sul territorio lavoriamo a tutto il resto, in particolare la Soprintendenza di Siena Arezzo Grosseto procede con la progettazione del museo, i cui lavori inizieranno entro la fine dell’anno. Di Aquileia continueremo a sentir parlare perché è lì che da novembre saranno esposti i Bronzi, in un contesto archeologico incredibile, nonché patrimonio UNESCO”. Proseguono anche le attività portate avanti dall’Università per Stranieri di Siena: durante l’incontro, Jacopo Tabolli ha infatti annunciato l’approvazione del progetto per la realizzazione dell’Hub Internazionale di Ricerca alla Porticciola di San Casciano dei Bagni. Un altro passo in avanti per il progetto del Santuario Ritrovato, che rafforza la sua vocazione come punto di riferimento scientifico e culturale a livello internazionale.
