Ogni appuntamento inizierà con una passeggiata archeologica a cura della Dott.ssa Lavinia Venturi nel cuore del sito UNESCO dell’Appia Antica, seguita da spettacoli unicinella Chiesa di San Nicola dei Caetani, nel Castrum Caetani e tra i sentieri dell’antica Regina Viarum.5 SETTEMBRE – Appia: paesaggio e memoria La passeggiata si concluderà all’interno della Chiesa di S. Nicola dei Caetani, dove prenderà vita L’Approdo, un omaggio intenso e poetico al grande Mario Giacomelli, nel centenario della sua nascita. Un’opera tra danza e fotografia firmata da Collettivo O e Luna Dance Theater, per la regia di Cinzia Scuppa e Simona Ficosecco: un vero caleidoscopio in movimento.6 SETTEMBRE – Eroi e miti d’AppiaUn viaggio tra leggende antiche per approdare a Il gesto e la memoria, una serata d’eccezione con i giovani talenti dell’Accademia Nazionale di Danza, interpreti delle coreografie di Sasha Waltz, John Neumeier, Sonia Rodriguez e Nacho Duato. L’associazione CANOVA22 Ha sede a Roma, nell’antica fornace del grande scultore Antonio Canova, oggi rigenerata come spazio culturale. Presieduta da Fiorenza d’Alessandro, co-direttrice artistica con Franz Prati, è formata da artisti di diverse discipline con una forte esperienza nella danza e nella videodanza. Canova22 promuove progetti nazionali e internazionali, attività formative e spettacoli site-specific, con particolare attenzione all’interazione tra corpo, immagine, paesaggio e nuove tecnologie.
Con il film-danza Virgins, coprodotto con il Cinedance Festival di Amsterdam, l’associazione ha vinto nel 2020 il Best Experimental Short al MICMX – Muestra Itinerante De Cine; nel 2022 il video – danza Psich&Amore vince il primo premio Quinzena de Dança e Almada – International Dance film festival e IMAGI-NA.
