Tutto l’anno è aperta l’attività su prenotazione nelle sedi provinciali del Dipartimento di Prevenzione dove sono presenti tecnici della prevenzione della Asl Toscana sud est: l’anno scorso furono più di 500 le consulenze effettuate
L’Ispettorato Micologico della Asl Toscana sud est rappresenta un presidio fondamentale per la tutela della salute pubblica nelle province di Arezzo, Siena e Grosseto. Grazie alle consulenze gratuite e ai controlli mirati sulle attività commerciali – effettuati dal Dipartimento di Prevenzione tramite personale del Dipartimento delle Professioni Tecnico Sanitarie – il servizio dimostra ogni anno quanto la prevenzione sia lo strumento più efficace contro le intossicazioni da funghi.
Nel 2024 gli sportelli micologici hanno offerto complessivamente 506 consulenze. In provincia di Arezzo sono state 286, in quella di Grosseto 138 e a Siena 82. Numeri che testimoniano la fiducia crescente dei cittadini verso gli esperti micologi e la volontà di prevenire rischi legati al consumo di funghi spontanei, così radicati nelle tradizioni locali.
Accanto al servizio al pubblico, l’attività si è estesa anche ai controlli ufficiali nei luoghi di vendita e somministrazione. Complessivamente sono state effettuate 96 verifiche a campione tra ristoranti, attività ortofrutticole e depositi alimentari: 36 nella provincia di Arezzo, 30 in quella di Grosseto e 30 in quella di Siena. Queste ispezioni hanno l’obiettivo di garantire che i funghi immessi sul mercato siano sicuri, tracciabili e conformi agli standard di legge, a tutela dei consumatori.
Il ruolo dell’Ispettorato si conferma ancora più importante guardando ai dati dei Pronto Soccorso. Nel 2024, infatti, si sono registrati 63 casi di intossicazione da funghi: 21 nella provincia di Arezzo, 11 in quella di Grosseto e 31 a Siena. Si tratta di numeri che ricordano quanto sia rischioso consumare funghi non controllati.
“Il lavoro dei nostri tecnici della prevenzione con qualifica di micologo è un esempio concreto di prevenzione applicata ogni giorno – sottolinea Daniela Cardelli, direttrice del Dipartimento delle Professioni Tecnico Sanitarie della Asl Toscana sud est – Mettere a disposizione dei cittadini un servizio gratuito e accessibile significa ridurre i rischi e garantire sicurezza nelle tavole delle famiglie. La collaborazione tra professionisti e comunità è fondamentale per trasformare una tradizione molto diffusa come la raccolta dei funghi in un’esperienza serena e senza pericoli”.
“La prevenzione resta la scelta prioritaria per evitare intossicazioni da consumo di funghi – spiega Giorgio Briganti, direttore del Dipartimento della Prevenzione della Asl Toscana sud est -. Rivolgersi agli sportelli micologici prima di consumare i funghi raccolti è un gesto semplice, gratuito e può fare davvero la differenza. L’invito rivolto a tutti i cittadini è di sfruttare il servizio dell’Ispettorato Micologico, già attivo su prenotazione in tutte le province della Asl Toscana sud est: un segnale concreto di attenzione verso i cittadini e la promozione della cultura della prevenzione”.
È già possibile prenotare telefonicamente il controllo dei funghi raccolti. Il personale dell’Asl prenderà in carico la richiesta e indirizzerà l’utente all’ufficio territoriale più vicino.

Per la provincia di Grosseto sono attivi i seguenti numeri:

In un secondo momento, in base all’andamento della stagione, la Asl Tse comunicherà l’apertura degli sportelli micologici anche con accesso diretto, senza necessità di prenotazione.
