Ospiti di Pieve Santo Stefano l’ex pilota di Formula Uno, Giorgio Francia e tre vincitori della cronoscalata: Franco Cinelli, Denny Zardo e David Baldi Nomi illustri dell’automobilismo italiano a Pieve Santo Stefano per la terza edizione de “Lo Spino – Leggende in Salita”, evento-revival in programma sabato 27 e domenica 28 settembre prossimi a Pieve Santo Stefano e lungo la provinciale 208
. Un’edizione particolarmente “rievocativa”, perché cade a 60 anni di distanza dalla prima competizione, andata in scena il 5 settembre 1965 sul tracciato che in quella circostanza era di 12 chilometri e 700 metri, per poi essere accorciato a 12 e 500. La Pro Spino Team, che organizza la manifestazione assieme al club “Il Saracino” e con il prezioso contributo del collezionista casentinese Attilio Fantini, ha allora deciso di dare rilievo a questo anniversario, invitando un ex pilota di Formula Uno e altri tre personaggi che hanno firmato l’albo d’oro dello Spino. Per ciò che riguarda il primo (che ha disputato 2 gran premi con Brabham e Osella nel 1997 e nel 1981), si tratta di Giorgio Francia, che è stato negli anni ’70 il “re” della Formula Italia per poi passare alla Formula Due e vincere anche il Campionato Italiano Prototipi nel 1980, ma nel suo curriculum c’è anche il Superturismo. Passando ai vincitori dello Spino, torneranno per l’occasione Franco Cinelli, Denny Zardo e David Baldi. Il primo, toscano, ha trionfato nel 2004 e nel 2006 con l’Osella Pa20/S Bmw dopo che nel 2001 aveva vinto il titolo nazionale; il secondo, veneto, si è imposto nel 2005 con l’Osella Pa21/S e nel 2008 (sotto un gran acquazzone) con la Reynard F. Nippon, non dimenticando che negli stessi due anni Zardo ha anche vinto l’italiano e che nel 2003 era stato campione europeo della montagna. Toscano come Cinelli, David Baldi ha vinto una edizione dello Spino, quella del 2009, anno nel quale con l’Osella Fa30 Zytek ha trionfato anche in campionato ed è entrato nella storia di questa salita per essere stato l’unico ad aver abbattuto il “muro” dei 3 minuti sul tracciato di 6940 metri, coprendo la prima manche in 2’59”43. Nel frattempo, continuano a giungere le iscrizioni per l’appuntamento di fine mese e il trend attuale è senza dubbio positivo. Fra le attrattive a quattro ruote si segnala la Perin Alfa Romeo del 1972, unico esemplare Fia con restauro appena effettuato da Luigi Moreschi, il pilota più titolato fra quelli in vita. Antonio Perin, proprietario di un’Alfa Romeo Tz1, a seguito di un incidente duplicò il telaio Tz rivestendolo con una carrozzeria in vetroresina e con una motorizzazione 1600 Gta. La vettura ha partecipato ad alcune competizioni, compresa la salita per eccellenza, ossia la Trento-Bondone del 1972 con pilota Enrico Rocca.
