AREZZO – L’accoglienza a scuola parte dagli studenti: l’esperienza dell’I.C. G. Vasari Un’iniziativa innovativa e di successo quella che è partita in questa prima settimana di scuola alla secondaria di primo grado Vasari di Arezzo, dove il progetto di accoglienza per le classi prime ha coinvolto direttamente gli studenti più grandi come tutor. L’obiettivo? Facilitare l’ingresso dei nuovi alunni nel mondo della scuola media, riducendo l’ansia e favorendo un’integrazione serena.
Il progetto ha visto la partecipazione attiva di ragazzi e ragazze delle classi seconde e terze, che, dopo un percorso di formazione, sono diventati dei veri e propri “compagni di benvenuto” con tanto di attestato. Insegnanti formatori hanno lavorato con loro per sviluppare competenze di ascolto, empatia e problem-solving, trasformandoli in guide preparate e responsabili. Dai banchi, un aiuto concreto I neo-tutor hanno accolto i compagni più piccoli sin dai primi giorni di scuola, mostrandogli gli spazi dell’istituto (aule, laboratori, palestra) e spiegando il funzionamento della didattica, delle regole e delle attività pomeridiane. Ma il loro ruolo non si è limitato a una semplice visita guidata: hanno creato un punto di riferimento amichevole, a cui i più piccoli potevano rivolgersi per dubbi o preoccupazioni potendo anche lasciare dei biglietti in apposite “cassette della posta”. È stato bello vedere come i ragazzi si siano presi a cuore questo ruolo,” ha commentato la Dirigente Scolastica Marinella Verrazzani. “La loro presenza ha reso l’inizio dell’anno scolastico più rassicurante per i nuovi studenti, che si sono sentiti accolti e meno soli. Questo progetto dimostra che la scuola può e deve essere un luogo di crescita non solo didattica, ma anche umana.” Un investimento per il futuro Questa iniziativa, oltre a beneficiare le classi prime, ha avuto un impatto positivo anche sui tutor stessi. Gli studenti più grandi hanno avuto modo di rafforzare la loro autostima e il senso di responsabilità. Hanno imparato a lavorare in gruppo, a comunicare in modo efficace e a mettersi al servizio degli altri, competenze fondamentali che li preparano per le sfide future, dentro e fuori la scuola. Il successo di questo modello di accoglienza evidenzia l’importanza di valorizzare le risorse interne della comunità scolastica. Un’esperienza che rafforza il senso di appartenenza e che, con il suo approccio dal basso, rappresenta un esempio virtuoso di come la scuola possa promuovere valori di solidarietà e inclusione.
