Lunedì 6 ottobre giungerà ad Arezzo un gruppo di marciatori partiti a piedi da Barbiana il 30 settembre per unirsi alla Marcia Perugia-Assisi del 12 ottobre. Un cammino attraverso Toscana e Umbria, toccando 18 comuni in 13 tappe, per coinvolgere enti locali, associazioni e singoli cittadini nello stesso impegno: “Per la Pace, la giustizia sociale, contro ogni discriminazione, contro il razzismo”
La Rete Aretina Pace e Disarmo ha raccolto l’invito organizzando l’accoglienza dei marciatori al loro arrivo in città presso due luoghi simbolici: Porta S. Biagio e la vicina chiesa di S. Domenico.
Saranno rievocati episodi della liberazione di Arezzo dai nazi-fascisti legati alla figura di Padre Caprara, il monaco domenicano che nei decenni successivi ha continuato a “costruire coscienza civile” operando come parroco. La storia aretina si unirà idealmente a quella di Barbiana e al suo parroco don Lorenzo Milani, educatore infaticabile e coraggioso anti-militarista. A partire dal suo famoso richiamo alla libertà di coscienza: “L’obbedienza non è più una virtù”. All’incontro porteranno il loro saluto rappresentanti delle istituzioni e interverranno alcune associazioni aretine: ACLI, FIAB, Rondine Cittadella della Pace. Infine il contributo musicale del Gruppo Polifonico “F. Coradini”.
Tutti uniti dall’ideale di sentirsi ognuno l’unico responsabile di tutto, come invitava don Milani.
La cittadinanza è invitata alle ore 18.00 nella chiesa di S. Domenico.
