Dal 1 novembre sarà possibile effettuare radiografie al proprio domicilio. Un servizio già attivo in Valdarno e nel Casentino e che fra pochi giorni partirà anche sulla area aretina grazie alla collaborazione con l’ospedale del Valdarno. Un servizio che è disponibile, però, soltanto per determinate categorie di persone come spiega il dr. Duccio Venezia, direttore della UOC Radiologia dell’ospedale San Donato di Arezzo. «Si tratta di una importante opportunità per fare diagnosi e cura a domicilio per tutti quei pazienti fragili o non trasportabili in ospedale – spiega il dr. Duccio Venezia -. Dopo la positiva esperienza del Casentino, adesso grazie alla collaborazione tra il personale tecnico di Radiologia del Valdarno e quello di Arezzo, coordinato dai responsabili Rita Papi e Ivano Rossi, è stato possibile estendere il servizio alla zona di Arezzo. Le persone fragili, disabili e non deambulanti che sono seguite a domicilio o assistite in strutture residenziali, quali Rsa, da novembre non dovranno più spostarsi dal proprio domicilio per sottoporsi a radiografie utili sia per la diagnosi che durante il trattamento terapeutico. L’esame a casa o in Rsa non è, però, indicato nelle urgenze o nei traumi».

Gli esami RX che potranno essere effettuati a domicilio sono:
– RX del torace per lo studio dei polmoni (per esempio in sospetto di polmonite, versamento pleurico, controllo PICC)
– RX ai segmenti scheletrici, al bacino e agli arti superiori e inferiori (es. RX spalla, polso, mano, anca, ginocchio, caviglia, piede) per controlli o malattie croniche

Le prestazioni di RX a domicilio devono essere richieste dai Medici di medicina generale (medico di famiglia) e dai Medici Specialisti, e potranno essere prenotate tramite mail all’indirizzo:

I referti medici e le immagini degli esami fatti a domicilio potranno essere ritirati il giorno successivo all’esame presso il front office della Radiologia dell’Ospedale San Donato oltre ad essere consultabili nel Fascicolo Sanitario Elettronico.
