La chiusura della sesta edizione di “Youth Music Festival”, in programma domenica 26 ottobre ore 19 presso il Teatro Petrarca di Arezzo, vedrà protagonisti del concerto “Elegia della giovinezza” tre giovani interpreti di prestigio internazionale: Pablo Ferrández, Giovanni Andrea Zanon e Eva Gevorgyan. Insieme proporranno il Piano Trio n.1 Op. 8 di Dmitri Shostakovich e il Trio per pianoforte Op. 50 di Pëtr Čajkovskij, chiudendo con eleganza e intensità il festival musicale aretino. Il programma della serata propone opere cardine del repertorio cameristico del XX secolo, a testimonianza dell’impegno del festival nel coniugare alto livello interpretativo e valorizzazione dei giovani musicisti, tema che ha animato le cinque serate precedenti della rassegna. L’iniziativa, ideata per rendere Arezzo un punto di riferimento internazionale nel panorama della musica classica e per attrarre un pubblico giovane e appassionato, è realizzata grazie alla collaborazione fra la WEL Foundation (World Ethic and Leadership Foundation), presieduta da Marjorie Layden, e la Fondazione Guido d’Arezzo diretta da Lorenzo Cinatti, cui dal 2018 è affidata dal Comune di Arezzo la gestione delle attività e dei presidi culturali sul territorio 

Pablo Ferrández, artista esclusivo dell’etichetta Sony Classical e vincitore di premio al Concorso Internazionale Čajkovskij, ha costruito una reputazione di “nuovo genio del violoncello” secondo la stampa musicale. Eva Gevorgyan, nata a Mosca nel 2004, è finalista alla XVIII edizione del Concorso Internazionale Pianistico “Chopin” e ha ottenuto il riconoscimento come più giovane finalista donna del concorso. Giovanni Andrea Zanon, già direttore artistico del festival e giovane talento internazionale del violino, completa il trio con la sua immagine di promotore e interprete della nuova generazione. “Desidero ringraziare il pubblico per l’entusiasmo e l’affetto con cui ci accompagna – dichiara Giovanni Andrea Zanon – la Fondazione per l’instancabile lavoro e la visione condivisa, e gli istituti che collaborano con noi da anni, contribuendo con dedizione alla crescita delle attività dello Youth.
