Siamo consapevoli dei disagi che questa misura può comportare per gli operatori del mercato e per i cittadini che abitualmente frequentano i banchi di via Giotto – ha dichiarato l’assessore Simone Chierici. – Abbiamo cercato una soluzione proponendo fin da settembre lo spostamento del mercato a domenica 2, ma tale ipotesi non è risultata praticabile in quanto molti ambulanti avevano già impegni programmati in altre piazze e fiere. Si tratta di una scelta di equilibrio e responsabilità, condivisa con le autorità di pubblica sicurezza e gli uffici comunali. Comprendo il malcontento degli ambulanti ma ugualmente confido nella collaborazione e nella comprensione loro e degli acquirenti, certi che in ogni caso tutti sapranno contribuire al buon svolgimento delle attività in un fine settimana così intenso per la nostra città”, conclude l’assessore.
