Unione dei Comuni della Valdichiana Senese (7 Novembre 2025) – L’Unione dei Comuni della Valdichiana Senese presenta il progetto “Arte Pubblica in Valdichiana”, parte integrante della più ampia programmazione culturale di Valdichiana 2025 – Capitale Toscana della Cultura. L’iniziativa si propone di arricchire il patrimonio artistico dei dieci Comuni della Valdichiana Senese, rafforzando la vocazione culturale e creativa del territorio. Arte Pubblica in Valdichiana è un progetto organico e strutturato che coinvolge i dieci Comuni dell’area attraverso la realizzazione di dieci opere di arte pubblica – tra street art, installazioni site-specific e sculture – pensate per valorizzare spazi urbani e paesaggi quotidiani. Il progetto nasce da un percorso partecipativo e da una coprogettazione che ha visto il coinvolgimento diretto delle comunità locali, configurandosi come una delle eredità più tangibili di Valdichiana 2025 – Capitale Toscana della Cultura. L’obiettivo è contribuire alla costruzione di un patrimonio culturale diffuso, sostenibile, accessibile e partecipato. L’intero progetto è curato da Carolin Angerbauer (Culturing APS) e Gian Guido Grassi (Start Attitude). La prima opera presentata è quella realizzata dall’artista Moneyless nel Comune di Sinalunga. Si tratta di una pittura murale dipinta sulla facciata del palazzetto dello sport di Sinalunga trasformando uno spazio pubblico quotidiano in un vero e proprio punto di riferimento artistico per la comunità. L’intervento sviluppa un linguaggio geometrico di ispirazione optical, dove ritmo e colore si intrecciano come fili di un tessuto visivo. Le trame, ottenute attraverso moduli ripetitivi e variazioni cromatiche, evocano la complessità della società contemporanea: una rete di relazioni, connessioni e contrasti che convivono in equilibrio dinamico. L’opera invita lo sguardo a muoversi, a cercare un ordine nel movimento e una forma nel caos, trasformando l’architettura in una superficie pulsante di energia e significato. Moneyless, con la sua opera va a instaurare un dialogo profondo tra arte contemporanea e architettura urbana. L’intervento, oltre a valorizzare l’edificio, contribuisce così a ridefinire il paesaggio visivo del luogo, rendendolo più dinamico e stimolante, e invitando cittadini e visitatori a una nuova percezione dello spazio. Le dieci opere verranno realizzate nei dieci Comuni della Valdichiana Senese, da dieci artisti internazionali che hanno ideato le loro creazioni in dialogo con i luoghi: a Cetona, l’artista Hitnes dipingerà un murales sulla facciata della Scuola dell’Infanzia in Via Risorgimento; a Chianciano Terme una scultura di Aris verrà collocata lungo il percorso pedonale di Via delle Valle; Chiusi ospiterà una scultura di Namsal Siedlecki, presso i lavatoi di Porta Lavinia. A Montepulciano, tra la scalinata di Via delle Farine e le vie del centro storico, sarà disseminata un’opera site-specific di Giovanni Oberti, mentre a Pienza una scultura di Andreco sarà installata nel giardino di Piazza San Carlo. A San Casciano dei Bagni, in località Ponte a Rigo, verrà realizzato un murales da Daniele Muñoz; anche a Sarteano a essere dipinta sarà la facciata della scuola primaria di Viale Beato Alberto; a Torrita di Siena, invece, sulla ciminiera di Via del Poggiolo Giorgio Bartocci creerà una urban installation. Infine, a Trequanda, sul muro della scuola primaria e secondaria di Via Taverne, Eron realizzerà un’opera con la tecnica dello spray. L’arte ha un valore fondamentale nello sviluppo dei territori– commentano i curatori Carolin Angerbauer e Gian Guido Grassi –. Anche in questo contesto così ricco di storia, invitare artisti contemporanei a creare opere al di fuori dagli spazi museali che utilizzino un linguaggio attuale e siano fruibili a tutti, può fare davvero la differenza. Il progetto Arte Pubblica Valdichiana va a perseguire gli obiettivi di carattere socio-culturale, oltre che estetico-artistico e l’intento è quello di rendere visibili e fruibili differenti linguaggi artistici nei luoghi della vita quotidiana, attraverso opere che dialoghino con il contesto, la comunità e la stratificata identità locale; stimolare la rigenerazione creativa in modo sensibile e rispettoso, anche in aree non necessariamente periferiche, ma rappresentative per le collettività di ciascun Comune.
